The spoken language,as the direct communication way among people,is the source and foundation of the appearance of the written language.The oral communicative competence has become a more and more important ability that the talents are required to grasp in the society.The primary school period is an important period for students to develop their oral communicative competences.However,although we have already realized the importance of the oral communication,the teaching history that "written language teaching is more important than spoken language teaching." has made the oral communication play a supporting role in the actual teaching situation.In 2000,Chinese Curriculum Standard of Nine-year Compulsory Education for Full-time Primary Schools(Trial Edition)first proposed "oral communication" clearly and clarified the importance of the oral communication teaching.In 2011,Chinese Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)has divided the Chinese teaching into five sections such as learning and writing Chinese characters,reading,writing,oral communication and comprehensive learning.The suggestion that "oral communicative competence is the necessary ability that a modern citizen must grasp."has also been put forward concretely.The state-compiled textbook was widely used in Grade One in Xi'an in 2017.In September 2019,the Chinese textbook of primary school students nationwide was replaced with the state-compiled textbook.As a result,the oral communication has become an independent section of the new textbook.Both the change of the name and the replacement of the textbook have obviously indicated that the oral communication teaching has played an important role in the Chinese teaching in primary schools.Then,how about the current oral communication teaching of the Chinese at primary schools?Can teachers at the frontline understand the curriculum standard correctly and implement reasonable teaching appraisal?How about the students' oral communicative competence?Based on the above doubts,the author of this thesis has,on the basis of the actual teaching,has found out that teachers have difficulties in establishing the oral communicative teaching goals,innovating the teaching methods and implementing as well as evaluating through a series of investigation and research.Students are interested in the oral communication but they don't know how to learn it.In order to solve the problems discovered through the investigation,the author of this thesis has illustrated the important theories and explored the relevant concepts on the basis of the relevant theory research with regard to how to improve teachers' teaching abilities and develop the oral communication teaching effectively.The author has comprehensively investigated and analyzed the current situation of the oral communication teaching through methods such as the questionnaires,interviews and the classroom observation.The author has also proposed the strategies to establish teachers' teaching ability and improve students' oral communicative competence from several perspectives such as teaching aims,teaching contents and teaching evaluation based on students' physical and mental development characteristics during the primary school period.The thesis consists of five parts.The introduction part has illustrated the importance of the oral communication and the research significance and methods.The second part has defined the important connation and meaning of the oral communication and distinguished the different scopes between the oral communication teaching and the listening and speaking teaching.The third part has carried out the investigation and analysis of the current situation of the oral communication teaching during the primary school stage and discovered the existing problems in the oral communication teaching of the Chinese during the primary school stage.The fourth part has analyzed the reasons for the problems.The fifth part has proposed the oral communication teaching strategy from several perspectives such as the establishment of the teaching aims,the innovation of the teaching methods and the integration of the teaching contents.
