Language and its vocabulary play an important role in national image building and are also important means of national image rhetoric.The image of China from the perspective of language presents a unique subjective and objective form,which can be constructed through words.Therefore,the experiment of "free association of words" can be used to verify and seek the subjective construction path of "image of China".In order to carry out the experiment of "free association of words",first of all,the purpose and nature of the experiment should be clearly defined so as to prejudge and judge the level of the subjects,vocabulary samples and experimental results,and formulate remedial measures.Secondly,in the selection of the experimental site,the students with advanced Chinese level in Woranari Chaloem Songkhla School in southern Thailand were selected as the experimental subjects according to certain conditions.In the implementation process of the experiment,we first conducted a pre-test through stratified sampling,and then reduced the sample error in the middle test.Finally,we conducted a post-test return visit on the three aspects of Chinese family background,experience in China and chinese-related academic planning.After combining and summarizing the collected Chinese vocabulary samples,the most effective data samples were selected,and the weighted statistical analysis was carried out.Finally,the Chinese image characteristics in the subjective cognition of the Chinese learning group of Thai middle school students were summarized according to the weight value.It is found that the Chinese learning group of Thai middle school students tend to shape the Chinese image subjectively as the cultural image,so this conclusion can be applied to the teaching of cultural factors in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.At the same time,the free association of vocabulary also verifies the guiding value of the subjective consciousness of the cognitive subject.The subjective cognition and construction of positive image of China clearly and emphatically have a positive guiding effect on the Chinese learners,which is conducive to the learners to optimize the learning effect,improve the learning efficiency and stimulate the internal learning motivation.At the same time,teachers of Chinese as a foreign language should also find their own positioning and strengthen the cultivation of their awareness of Chinese image.Finally,word association can be used as an important method of Chinese vocabulary teaching and acquisition.
