With the promulgation of the Opinions of the Ministry of Education on the Implementation of the Excellent Teacher Training Program in 2014,the position of primary school general teachers in the future primary education is getting higher and higher.The teaching ability of general subject teachers in primary schools directly affects children’s overall knowledge and understanding of the real world in the future.This study is mainly based on the analysis of the current situation,problems and causes of teaching ability of primary school general teachers,and put forward solutions.After literature review,questionnaires and interview Outlines were compiled from five dimensions of teachers’ basic information,teaching design ability,teaching expression ability,teaching implementation ability,teaching research ability and teaching integration ability,and a random survey was conducted on primary school general subjects teachers.After the reliability and validity are guaranteed,the corresponding analysis is made on the survey results.The results show that the teaching design ability mainly has the problems of not strong pertinence of homework design and often relying on teaching reference.Teaching expression ability mainly exists in primary school general subjects teachers’ lack of mastery of explanation and presentation skills and emotional expression mainly stems from teachers’ experience.Teaching implementation ability mainly exists in the classroom teaching control ability is weak and questioning skills master not enough.The teaching research ability mainly has the deficiency of teaching research learning ability and the difficulty in the application of teaching reflection results.The main problems of teaching integration ability are insufficient subject integration ability and weak knowledge transfer ability.In order to solve these problems,this study seeks the causes from three aspects: social environment,school groups and teachers themselves.As for the social environment,the main causes include the lack of post-service support for "general teachers",the slow process of "general education" in primary school,and the impact of exam-oriented education on teaching integration.As for the school groups,the main causes are serious formalism of teaching reflection,schools pay more attention to work than study,and ignore the post-service "general training" of general teachers.As for the teachers themselves,the main causes include unclear career development plan of general teachers,weak teaching awareness of general subjects,and difficulty in learning and applying teaching concepts.In view of these problems and reasons,this study also puts forward the promotion path from three aspects: society,school and teachers.As for the social environment,the state should pay attention to the particularity of general teachers,colleges and universities should strengthen the pre-service training of teaching ability of general teachers in primary schools,and the society should change the concept of exam-oriented education.About the school team,the school is required to create a reflective teaching environment,reduce the work burden of general teachers,pay attention to the "general practice" after the general teachers;As for teachers themselves,they are required to set up correct professional values,the concept of general teaching and the concept of lifelong learning.
