After forty years of exploration and practice,H University's discipline of higher education has developed from scratch,from small to large,from weak to strong,and explored a development path with its own characteristics which is different from that of normal colleges.This study adopts the case study method of historical changes,taking the higher education of H University as the research object.Through the objective presentation of the development history of discipline of higher education of a single comprehensive university,this paper tries to explore how to obtain and enhance the status of the discipline and to provide a reference for the construction of discipline of higher education in the comprehensive university.The process of acquiring and promoting the discipline status of H university's higher education can be roughly divided into three stages,namely,the stage of starting a new force,the stage of developing strength,and the stage of adjusting the layout.The process of acquiring and promoting the discipline status of higher education in H University can be divided into three stages of development: the stage of meteoric rise the stage of developing strength,and the stage of adjusting the layout.First of all,the stage of meteoric rise(1980-1998): the discipline is in the generation period,mainly through the application of higher education master's degree and doctor's degree,the establishment of basic teachers,establishment of academic journals to lay a solid foundation for the discipline construction.At this stage,H University became one of the first four doctoral degrees of higher education,initially obtained the discipline status.Secondly,the stage of t developing strength(1999-2007): the discipline entered the maturity stage,mainly through improving the discipline layout,expanding the enrollment of doctoral students,introducing more doctors to expand the teaching staff,founding doctor's advanced courses for President,building the building,carrying out institutional research to expand the width of the discipline construction and build its own strength In this stage,the discipline of higher education obtained the national key discipline.The discipline construction was in the climax,and made many achievements,which promoted the discipline status and expanded the discipline influence.Finally,the stage of adjusting the layout(2008-present): the discipline is in phase transformation,mainly through construction of the doctoral degree authorization center of the first-level discipline in pedagogy,to strengthen the construction of education Ph D degree and has a major breakthrough in the sense of scientific research achievements,to set up the new growing point to adjust the layout of discipline construction,expand the depth of the subject construction and stabilize the position of subjects.In each stage of discipline construction,it can always take the initiative to plan development strategies and take corresponding measures to promote the development of the discipline according to the changes of the external environment,so that the position of the discipline is gradually stable and the influence of the discipline is gradually expanded.The factors influencing the acquisition and promotion of higher education status of H University are internal motivation,external motivation and intermediary force.Among them,the internal logic of scientific development is the internal driving force to promote the development of disciplines,and the dynamic change of environment and demand is the external driving force.The change of the national policy environment to provide macro external conditions;the adjustment of the school's subject planning provides a medium external condition for it.The positive promotion of important people provides microcosmic external conditions for them.As a mediating force,the scientific organization actively plans to play a role in connecting internal and external conditions.First of all,the discipline construction process of H university reflects the three internal characteristics of strengthening strategy,daring to be the first and self-strengthening,which have become the endogenous driving force to promote the development of the discipline.Secondly,the status of higher education in H university cannot be achieved without the active planning and development within the organization,which is mainly reflected in four aspects: discipline direction,discipline echelon,organizational support and talent cultivation.The internal and external conditions are not separate,but through the organization of the intermediary force to produce a joint role in the development of the discipline,to promote the higher education discipline construction to a wider level,deeper field direction.Compared with the normal university' pedagogy,the comprehensive university's pedagogy has a weak historical foundation,a small scale and is in a weak position of development.Therefore,it is necessary to find out a path suitable for the development of comprehensive university's pedagogy.Through the description and analysis of the discipline construction of higher education in H University,this study provides some inspirations for other comprehensive universities to carry out the discipline construction of higher education,such as strengthening the strategic thinking,expanding the discipline structure,highlighting the characteristic development,optimizing the discipline team,and improving the organizational support.
