Textbooks in the period of the republic of China have unique research value,which is a new direction of education and teaching research in recent years.The textbook of basic Chinese compiled by fu donghua and Chen wangdao,as the first Chinese textbook in middle schools in the 1930 s,has important reference value for the compilation of Chinese textbooks published later.The textbook of basic Chinese by fu donghua and Chen wangdao was published by the commercial press,which had great influence at that time.This paper tries to analyze and study the selected text content of the textbook and the aided reading system in a comprehensive and meticulous way,to show its scientific and epochal characteristics in compiling,so as to obtain some enlightenment and thoughts on compiling the current textbook.This paper starts with the influencing factors and constituent elements of the textbook,analyzes and studies the textbook from three perspectives: writing background,selection arrangement and content,type and function of the reading aid system,and investigates its writing characteristics in the open and changeable times.We found that the formulation of new curriculum standards,the implementation of the examination and approval of teaching materials,and the inspiration of foreign advanced educational concepts made the textbook of basic Chinese language widely used in the 1930 s,with considerable compilation characteristics.The arrangement follows the rules of students' cognitive development;The aided reading system is suitable in content,diverse in perspective,and has a system of its own,which provides a direction for students' reading and helps them accumulate necessary grammar knowledge.Based on the above analysis,we can see the basic Chinese textbooks for the current middle school language textbooks on the beneficial enlightenment mainly has two aspects: on the one hand,in the ancient literature classic title is to cultivate students' ability to appreciate literature and to accumulate the necessary cultural knowledge of important carrier,thus the to the material value orientation of literature,cultural implication,blends together the ancient and modern classic title;On the other hand,the depth of the content of the textbook should be in line with students' cognitive characteristics,and the arrangement order of the text should be based on students' understanding of the content.As a product of a specific era,basic Chinese textbooks tend to be more scientific in terms of arrangement,pay attention to both the quality and the beauty of the selected texts,and have a more complete system of compiling the aided reading system.At the same time,there are too many selected text,help reading system is too cumbersome and difficult limitations.
