Teachers are the first resource for educational development.The quality of teachers in ethnic areas determines the level of education in ethnic areas.Continuing education for primary and secondary school teachers in ethnic areas not only promotes the improvement of the quality of teachers in ethnic areas,but also guarantees the development of education and the quality of personnel training in ethnic areas.It is also an important part of constructing lifelong education.Since the comprehensive education of primary and secondary school teachers was implemented in China in 1999,the overall quality of teachers has been greatly improved.Due to their historical,cultural,and economic reasons,ethnic regions have low quality teachers and slow improvement in the quality of continuing education.A survey of continuing education for teachers in County X of Sichuan Province found that the government has a lack of legal systems,continuing education funding,innovations in continuing education systems,and the allocation of continuing education resources for teachers.Research,drawing on foreign successful experiences,studying the government's responsibility in the continuing education of teachers in ethnic areas,and proposing that the government should improve the legal and regulatory system,increase capital investment,incentive policies for the introduction of innovative talents,Great efforts should be made to supervise and coordinate teachers' continuing education resources to ensure and promote the continuing development of teachers' education in ethnic regions.
