In the context of the new curriculum reform,traditional sub-discipline teaching can no longer meet the needs of new talents in the new era.In chemistry teaching,a single teaching goal and course design is difficult to comprehensively improve students' innovative thinking and ability.As a new form of education,STEAM education breaks through the barriers of disciplines,and aims to cultivate students' ability to find problems and solve practical problems from practice.Therefore,exploring how to integrate the STEAM educational concept into the teaching of junior middle school chemistry has certain research significance.This article mainly includes five parts:The first part is an introduction,which summarizes the research status of STEAM education at home and abroad through the literature research method,and narrates the background of the research topic,the relevant research status at home and abroad,the significance and specific research methods of the research topic.The second part is mainly the theoretical basis of the research,explaining the connotation,characteristics and teaching theoretical basis of STEAM education.By analyzing the "project-based learning","LBD learning model","5E teaching model" and some of our own scholars The STEAM teaching model has the common elements of the STEAM teaching method.The third part analyzes the chemistry curriculum standards of the compulsory education stage to get the theoretical basis of STEAM integration into the junior middle school chemistry classroom.The chemistry textbook for the ninth grade of the People's Education Edition is used as the basis for selecting topics for the design of chemistry teaching activities in the third grade under STEAM.Based on the understanding of the STEAM teaching model,the junior middle school chemistry teaching design model under the STEAM concept was preliminarily constructed.Based on this model,three teaching cases of "Making Molecular Cars","How the Quality Has Changed",and "Homemade Simple Fire Extinguisher" were designed.The fourth part is the practical part of the three teaching cases.After each round of practice,according to the teaching effect and student feedback,the outstanding situation of the elements of STEAM teaching elements,the lack of design,and thelack of teaching operability are summarized and analyzed,thereby teaching Activities are adjusted,and the teaching design model is revised and improved.The fifth part is the analysis of the three teaching effects,mainly after-school interviews with students,questionnaires issued to students and after-class quizzes to test the implementation effect of the three teachings.Through the survey questionnaire,the changes in the four aspects of students 'chemistry learning attitudes,practical ability,interdisciplinary thinking,and teamwork were measured,and it was found that after STEAM learning,students' learning attitudes in chemistry had improved,and their practical ability and interdisciplinary thinking had Obviously,students are more willing to participate in teamwork.Obtain students' views and opinions on teaching through interviews.During the interview,students expressed that they prefer this new type of learning method and exercised their hands-on ability.They no longer passively accept knowledge,but dare to put forward opinions and suggestions,and are very involved.Pass the after-class test to check the mastery of students' knowledge of chemistry subjects.It can be seen from the answer of the quiz after the class that students have a good grasp of basic subject knowledge and the ability to solve information-type questions has improved.The sixth part summarizes the achievements of STEAM teaching practice,improves and perfects the junior middle school chemistry teaching model based on STEAM education,and analyzes the shortcomings of this research.This study applies the STEAM education concept to junior middle school chemistry teaching.On the one hand,it enriches the content of chemistry teaching,explores new teaching methods and methods for the chemistry subject,and promotes the development of chemistry teaching;Level.The study focuses on the chemistry discipline,integrates the knowledge of other related disciplines to carry out the design and practice of junior middle school chemistry teaching activities based on the STEAM concept,and verifies the effectiveness of the teaching practice,forming a model of teaching activity design with reference value.During the implementation of chemistry teaching,which have certain reference value for improving chemistry teaching,changing teaching methods,and updating teaching concepts.
