With the constant advancement of quality-oriented education and curriculum reforms,more and more Chinese language educators have realized the importance of cultivating critical expression ability of high school students.The newly revised Standard of Chinese Curriculum in Senior High School(2017 Edition)lists “thinking development and improvement” as one of the four key competencies of senior high school Chinese subject and set up the learning task group separately(Task Group 6: Critical Reading and Expression)to emphasize the importance of improving students' thinking quality.However,practical results are not satisfactory because they are influenced by traditional teaching modes which value knowledge over thinking,literary talents over rationality and skills over logics.This is still a common phenomenon in writing teaching: on the one hand,students do not know how to write when faced with writing tasks,they only pile up materials but are not good at reasoning and analyzing them;on the other hand,teachers lack sufficient critical thinking ability,so it is difficult for them to come up with effective thinking training methods in Chinese teaching.These phenomena eventually lead to less optimistic cultivation situations of senior high school students' critical expression ability.Under such a teaching background,this study focuses on situations of Learning Task Group 6.This paper investigates current cultivation situations of senior high school students' critical expression ability,summarizes problems,generalizes reasons and puts forward feasible suggestions for the cultivation of senior high school students' critical expression ability according to the previous teaching experience.The paper is mainly divided into four parts.Part 1 is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,research problems,current research situations,research methods and research significance.It mainly clarifies such key concepts as critical thinking,critical thinking ability and critical expression ability.Part 2 discusses the necessity and feasibility in cultivating senior high school students' critical expression ability.Part 3 is the investigation and research on the current cultivation situations of critical expression ability of the senior one of S Middle School of Changchun City.By analyzing discourses of students' compositions and questionnaire survey results of Chinese teachers,this paper explores main problems in the cultivation process of senior high school students' critical expression ability.Part 4 mainly puts forward strategies to cultivate senior high school students' critical expression ability according to reasons of questions summarized in Part 3.In a word,this research aims to explore problems and challenges in the cultivation of senior high school students' critical expression ability by interpreting the contents related tothe improvement of critical thinking ability of the Standard of Chinese Curriculum in Senior High School(2017 Edition).It is hoped that this paper can provide effective suggestions for the implementation of the cultivation of the critical expression ability in writing teaching.
