With the continuous advancement of the new curriculum reform,the Chinese language community is paying more and more attention to cultivating students' critical thinking ability.In the latest Chinese curriculum standards for ordinary senior high schools(2017 edition),Critical Reading and Expression is specifically listed as one of learning-task groups,which aim to enhance the logical and profound thinking of students through reading,writing and speaking,thus improving their critical thinking ability.Of the above-mentioned three teaching methods,the writing teaching plays an important role in the Chinese language teaching,and the argumentative writing is the top priority of high school writing teaching.Actually,the process of students' thinking activities of analysis,reasoning and argumentation in the argumentative writing is the process of their training of critical thinking ability.Nowadays,it has become urgent for Chinese language educators to cultivate students' critical thinking ability in the argumentative writing teaching.In response to this problem,this paper attempts to combine theory with teaching practice,and then to explore effective strategies to improve the critical thinking ability of the argumentative writing in high school students,for the reference of the majority of front-line teachers.Specifically,the paper is divided into five parts:Part ?: Based on the inherent attributes of the Chinese discipline,the teaching requirements of the new curriculum standards,and the propositional trend of the college entrance examination composition in recent years,this article briefly introduces the research origin of this topic,and clarifies the research methods and ideas through the collation and analysis of relevant domestic and foreign literature.Part ?: In the process of tracing the concepts of "critical thinking" and "critical thinking ability",this paper is designed to clarify the complex and diverse definitions of various scholars at home and abroad at different times.Based on this,this paper aims at putting forward the conception of "critical thinking ability" in the argumentative writing.Then,from the stylistic and subjective perspectives,this paper will analyze the necessity and urgency of cultivating the critical thinking ability in the argumentative writing.Part ?&?: Through the combination of "questionnaire survey + case analysis",this paper is aimed at analyzing the objective current situation of critical thinking ability in senior high school's argumentative writing,then finding out the existing problems,and ultimately utilizing materials,teaching,and students as the starting point to reflect deeply and explore the reasons.Part ?: Based on describing the objective fact that students lack critical ability in the argumentative writing and analyzing its reasons,this paper is designed to put forward practical suggestions from three aspects including the integration of teaching resources,the transformation of teaching mode and the improvement of students' critical thinking consciousness,thus helping students promote their critical thinking ability in senior high school's argumentative writing.
