Math problem solving plays an important role in high school students' math learning.Through in-depth observation and understanding of students' math problem solving,it is found that high school students have the following problems for math problem solving: no plan,no direction, single thinking, easy to make the same mistake and so on.All these are related to students' metacognition, and developing students' self-monitoring ability in mathematics is a core issue in mathematics teaching. Therefore, this study combines self-monitoring ability with mathematical problem solving, and analyzes the status quo, influencing factors and optimization Suggestions of high school students' self-monitoring ability in mathematical problem solving based on questionnaires.First of all,the relevant literature on metacognition,self-monitoring and mathematical problem solving at home and abroad was read and analyzed, and the relevant concepts were defined.According to the research purpose, the relevant concepts and the dimensions of self-monitoring ability were determined in this paper.Secondly,in order to master the status quo of high school students' self-monitoring ability in solving math problems,253 students in grade one and grade two of R high school were surveyed by questionnaire and statistical analysis. The conclusions are as follows :(1)the overall mean value of high school students' self-monitoring ability on mathematical problem solving is 3.47,indicating that high school students' self-monitoring ability on mathematical problem solving is general;(2)in the second year of high school, the average score of each dimension of self-monitoring ability is higher than that of the first year, and there are significant differences in data analysis, planning ability and management ability;(3)in terms of the ability to solve mathematical problems and monitor themselves, boys are higher than girls after analysis.Through the analysis of T test,it is found that there are significant differences between boys and girls in the dimension of knowledge ability.(4)in terms of the ability to solve math problems and monitor themselves, the higher the grade, the stronger the ability to monitor themselves. Finally, according to the results of data analysis and case analysis, this paper puts forward optimization Suggestions for the self-monitoring ability of high school students to improve their self-monitoring ability.
