A Case Study On The Application Of The Theory Of Increasing Energy To Improve The Ability Of Remote Parent-child Communication Of The Elderly Living Alone In Cities

Since 1999,China has entered the aging society,and the aging problem is becoming more and more serious.It is predicted that by 2040,China will become a super aged country.With the transformation of China from traditional rural society to modern society and the acceleration of rural social change,aging population,family structure,scale miniaturization,and the change of traditional values are becoming more and more common in China.Under the mutual support of the aging population and the new stage of urban development,there are a group of special elderly people-the elderly living alone in the city.These old people's daily production and life all take place in the urban community,most of them are retired workers in the city,or the original farmers who moved into the modern new community in the process of urbanization.One of the most important characteristics of the old people living alone in cities is that they live alone and take care of their daily life.There are many reasons for the phenomenon of the elderly living alone in cities,among which there are only two.The first is that the young generation of their children move out of their original families when they enter adulthood,and one of the elderly couples actually has only one person to live alone because of their death;the second is that the elderly in their family life are unmarried or have marriage history but have no children,and currently only live alone.The object of this paper is the former case.That is to say,the adult children I met during my internship have separated from their original family life,and the elderly family has to take care of themselves due to the death of their spouse.For the old people who live alone in other cities,it is common for them to want to see their children and hope to see them.However,the social reality that their children struggle to live far away from their hometown is also in front of them.Only once a year or even several years can they see them once a year,which makes the old people miss them very much.The rapid development of modern science and technology provides the possibility of human face visualization,but for the elderly,the rapid development of science and technology and the lack of daily contact of the elderly form a contradiction.How to use new technology and new technology to meet the desire of the city's solitary elderly to meet their children has become the thinking point of social workers.In fact,from the perspective of the elderly,the elderly have always been in a weak side of resources and capabilities,and the rapid progress of society has created the possibility for remote parent-child communication.But for the elderly,there is a relatively large generation gap,that is,the younger generation has mastered new technologies and capabilities,and can quickly accept new things,while the older generation has It is passively accepting the "gap" brought by digital,and can only wait for "looking forward to return" at home.In a general sense,parent-child communication is not difficult to understand.The distance parent-child communication studied by the author is that parents and children live in different cities or even different countries.In this case,the communication between the old generation living alone in cities and the young generation working and living in other places.The theory of increasing energy focuses on the improvement of the individual ability of the elderly living alone in the city,provides some convenience for remote parent-child communication,and meets the spiritual needs of the elderly living alone in the city.Therefore,with the rapid aging of the population and the increasing size of the elderly population,how to study the long-distance parent-child communication of the elderly living alone in the city has become a major issue for social work.From the perspective of increasing energy,the paper puts forward specific intervention strategies to effectively meet the emotional comfort needs of the elderly living alone in cities,which will become an important part of improving the elderly care system in cities in China.From the perspective of social work,this paper puts forward specific intervention methods,hoping to provide valuable experience for social work to intervene in other issues in the future.
