A Case Study On The Absence Of Parental Surpervision Of Left-behind Children Raised By Another Generation By Social Work Intervention

The transfer of rural surplus labor to the city is an inevitable development trend in the process of China's modernization.Young parents go to work in the city in order to pursue a high quality of life.However,due to some subjective and objective constraints,parents cannot bring their children with them.Staying in the countryside and entrusting the ancestors to take care of it has formed the phenomenon of raising children left behind in rural areas.The lack of legal guardians to raise left-behind children between generations leaves many of the legitimate rights and interests of left-behind children unprotected,which is not conducive to their healthy growth and lays some hidden dangers for the future improvement of the quality of the rural population.This article takes the case of the family ethical misalignment of rearing left-behind children found by the author in the social work education counterpart poverty alleviation service demonstration project as an example.Initially,the adjustment of the main family structure and family ethics of the case was taken as the service goal,and the social work method was used for case service.However,it was found that the deep-seated cause of the client's problems during the case intervention was that rural parents could not exercise their guardianship normally,and their ancestors' guardianship capacity was limited,so that the client's growth needs could not be met,and the rights of the guardian were violated,resulting in a series of Psychological,behavioral,interpersonal and other issues,the author improved the guardianship environment,thereby alleviating the client's family relationship and ethical misalignment.The author found from practical research that the key to dealing with the custody of left-behind children is to adjust the relationship between national guardianship and family guardianship.If the left-behind children have problems in the family guardianship process,the state needs to carry out support.National guardianship support and supervision Family supervision provides a good growth environment for left-behind children and protects their rights and interests from infringement.Social work can serve as a bridge in this process,supervising the monitoring environment for raising left-behind children between generations,improving the growth problems caused by the lack of parental guardianship for children,and improving the guardianship of grandparents,thereby promoting the healthy growth of keeping-behind children.However,as far as the current situation in my country is concerned,the development of social work in the protection of the rights and interests of left-behind children still lacks certain supporting conditions,which hinders the development of social work to a certain extent.Therefore,the author puts forward three suggestions: firstly,rural schools should set up school social workers to help the families of the left-behind children;secondly,the government should pay more attention to the lack of guardianship of the parents of the left-behind children;Raise the guardianship system for left-behind children.
