Under the influence of the new curriculum reform,the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high schools in China is undergoing profound changes.The focus of teaching is not only on students' mastery of knowledge,but also on thinking about what kind of people students should be trained in the new era.Discipline core literacy also puts forward new requirements for junior high school moral and rule of law courses,which should help students to acquire values,key abilities and necessary characters with discipline characteristics,so as to effectively implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality.In recent years,the exploration of teaching methods of morality and rule of law in junior high schools has also emerged endlessly.Through in-depth practice,the author finds that the application of thematic teaching method and story teaching method is constantly advancing and exploring,and thematic cooperative teaching and situation teaching are carried out according to the characteristics of disciplines.However,most of them tend to impart knowledge while ignoring the cultivation of students' emotions,and too mechanized learning is divorced from the reality of life.By sorting out and summarizing the literature at home and abroad,this paper determines the research direction and research methods of this paper,combs the current research status of the course of morality and rule of law,especially in the teaching methods of morality and rule of law,and further analyzes the research status of theme education,most of which are biased towards the research methods of imparting knowledge to students.Finally,the theme story teaching method combining theme teaching method and story teaching method is explored through comparison.By combining the subject characteristics of morality and rule of law,and based on the teaching materials of morality and rule of law,students can experience characters in different degrees through different characters in stories,enrich students' emotional world,enrich students' hearts,and form correct world outlook,outlook on life and values while mastering knowledge.
