| Influenced by the transformation of talent training mode in colleges and universities and the development of modern learning technology,the learning style of college students is moving towards diversification,individualization and informatization.As an important support department for teaching and scientific research in universities,libraries are also undergoing corresponding changes.According to the theory of space sociology,space is not only the condition of behavior,but also constructed by behavior.So,how does library learning space support the current diversified learning behavior and be changed by learning behavior? On the basis of field research,this study attempts to answer the following questions: Does the university library support or meet the transformation of college students’ learning style? How can students’ spontaneous new learning methods promote the change of library learning space? Is this mutual shaping forming a new learning culture in Colleges and universities?In order to effectively reveal the impact of new technology environment,subject background and other factors on library learning space,this study chooses four new campus libraries of different levels and types of universities in Southwest China as the research objects,and describes the interaction between library learning space and learning behavior through qualitative research methods such as interviews and observation.This paper summarizes the experience of the construction of learning space in university libraries,and finds the mutual shaping between learning space and learning behavior.Paper is divided into: Part I: Mainly is to put forward the question,elaborated the paper research origin,the research significance,has had the related research,proposed the research step,research technology circuit diagram,research methods,research object and so on.The second part :Investigation and analysis on the construction of learning space and learning behavior in the libraries of four new campuses.Through on-site observation,interviews and experience,it is found that the library construction of each school has distinct personality,and the space construction and resource supply reflect the distinct discipline characteristics and campus cultural tradition,but the students’ learning behavior in the library shows a high degree of homogeneity.D University,as a985 Polytechnic University with information technology as its main part,has a strong sense of science and technology in its library,but students mainly use the autonomous and silent learning space of the library to study without or with a small amount of technical support;As a 985 comprehensive university,the library of C University is simple in shape and rich in collection,but students mainly look for places to study by themselves and evaluate not easy to use.J University,as a 211 engineering university with traffic technology as its main subject,its library learning space is practical,students mainly come to the library to find a place to do homework and review,and the multifunctional space is basically useless;S University is an important provincial normal university,its library is large in scale,large in space,and the number of students studying in the library is large,but the facilities and equipment seldom consider the user’s feelings,and the evaluation is uncomfortable.The third part: Learning space and learning behavior shape each other and promote the formation of multiple learning culture.Through the investigation of the construction and use of library learning space,it is found that there are some common points in the construction of university libraries: the supply of resources and the digitization and informatization of facilities and equipment have been significantly upgraded;The diversification of spatial function is a general trend;Compared with the upgrading of hardware facilities and equipment in learning space,the management and service of learning space are lagging behind.Each university library has distinct characteristics of its own discipline and traditional campus culture.The commonness of students’ learning behavior in the library is greater than the individuality,the purpose of using the library and the main types of learning behavior are highly similar,but there are significant differences in the needs of students for library learning space in different universities:The existing space conditions of liberal arts and comprehensive universities are insufficient,and university students expect libraries to provide more complete and easy to use space conditions;The existing space conditions of engineering universities are better,and students expect libraries to provide more comfortable and more independent learning conditions.The gap between library learning space and students’ space expectation is mainly due to the lack of students’ participation in the existing library construction and management.The interaction between students’ new learning space needs,new learning methods and library’s discipline tradition and modernization construction is promoting the formation of a new diversified learning culture. |
