It has been played an importance that cultivating the core accomplishment of students and exploring school-based curriculum under the background of education in our country.However,the curriculum types of middle schools in China are mainly based on unified compiled textbooks,while school-based curriculum resources are relatively insufficient since most are knowledge supplement and practice of unified compiled textbooks.Therefore,enriching curriculum resources,developing local curriculum and school-based curriculum has become an urgent problem to be solved.In this study,literature method,investigation method and action research method are used to systematically explore the development of high school biology school-based curriculum resources through native plant resources.First of all,this paper makes a theoretical analysis of "School-based Curriculum" by using the literature method,which provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent research.Secondly,it analyzes and evaluates the environment inside and outside the school,then sends out a questionnaire to some Grade 2 students in Huanggang Middle School for investigating their understanding of biology and plant resources of Ta-pieh Mountains,as well as their demand for school-based courses.Thirdly,based on the Biology Curriculum Standards for General Senior High School(2017 Edition),the curriculum objectives of the proposed school-based curriculum are formulated.Besides,the local plant resources are used to develop the school-based curriculum resources with local characteristics,and the teaching design is carried out.The teaching design presented in this paper includes four aspects,namely,entering the Ta-pieh Mountains along with the relevant plant diversity,investigating the plant population density,collecting and making plant specimens,and developing the characteristic plant resources.Fourthly,it selects and organizes the course content according to the course objectives through appropriate and diversified teaching methods and evaluation methods in the elective course of high school students,so as to conduct teaching practice research,then it finally summarizes and reflects the development and implementation for further improvement.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)This study compiles a school-based textbook based on the plant resources of Ta-pieh Mountains,and carries out a teaching design of four lesson cases.(2)The proposed curriculum objectives have been achieved through the implementation of the high school biology curriculum in Huanggang Middle School.To a certain extent,it improves students' sense of social responsibility for the protection of native plants,strengthens their hometown feelings,deepens their understanding of native plant resources,and enhances their interest in learning biology.(3)It provides a reference for the development of related biology school-based curriculum resources in the future through the corresponding progression,thus setting an example for the sample courses based on native plant resources.
