With the official release of The Criteria for Chemistry Course in High School(2017Edition),how to develop The Key Literacy of student become a hot issue.The concept of Key Literacy not only requires students to learn knowledge,but also puts forward higher requirements for their own internal literacy.The History,Philosophy and Sociology of Science(HPS)which appeared in Europe and the United States emphasizes the integration of the history and philosophy of science,sociology of science into Scientific teaching.Through the study of the New Course Criteria,it is found that the values of HPS education and the new curriculum standard are highly consistent.Therefore,exploring the relationship between HPS education and the development of Chemical Key Literacy becomes the starting point of this study the starting point of this study.This study applies measures such as the literature review,questionnaire,interview and case study,and by combining theory with practice,the following problems are discussed: 1.Analyzed the Course Criteria,compared the contents of HPS in new and old textbooks,and explored the relationship between HPS education and the development of the Chemistry Key Literacy;2.Investigated and analysis the current situation of HPS education in High School Chemistry Teaching;3.HPS teaching case design based on the Key Literacy;4.Implementation and evaluation of HPS teaching cases based on the Key Literacy.First of all,it is found that the teaching material suggestions highlight the content of HPS education through the analysis of the new Course Criteria.Through the analysis of HPS content of the new chemistry teaching materials compiled under the guidance of the New Course Criteria,the results show that the value orientation of HPS education is in line with the New Course Criteria.So it is natural to introduce HPS education into Chemistry Teaching.The research status of HPS and the Chemistry Key Literacy at home and abroad was reviewed to understand the value and significance of HPS and the Chemistry Key Literacy education.The research found that there were few studies combining the Chemistry Key Literacy with HPS education.Secondly,Interviews and questionnaires for teacher were designed to investigate the implementation of HPS in high schools.The results show that teachers generally recognized the value of HPS education,but because of the limited class hours,HPS education is rarely implemented in the classroom.High school students like HPS education,they believe that HPS education can enhance the interest of learning and promote the development of their own abilities.Finally,taking the new PEP textbook as a reference,design the teaching cases of Sodium and Its Compounds and the Periodic Table of Elements based on the HPS concept.This two cases carry out with "accomplishment line","history line" and "activity line" so as to improving students' Key Literacy,and have been used in the practical teaching.The class based on the traditional teaching method is taken as the control class.At last,comprehensive the evaluated results of the two classes and the students interview after class.The results show that the teaching design based on HPS has a certain promotion effect on the formation of students' the Chemistry Key Literacy,The author explains the reasons why HPS promotes the formation of the Chemistry Key Competencies based on the actual teaching situation,personal experience and the understanding of HPS and the Chemistry Key Competencies.
