The times are developing,and the demand for talent is also rising.Students learn not only to cope with examinations,but also to develop their necessary skills and key abilities,to set up correct values,and to deal with all kinds of practical problems calmly.How to make students understand the true meaning of learning,have classes with thinking,and take the initiative to undertake social responsibility and mission,is worth our reflection.Through consulting a lot of literature,this paper discusses the research background from three aspects: "the need of the basic education curriculum reform","the realistic need of chemistry teaching" and "the role of organic chemistry",and defines three concepts: competencies,key competencies and chemistry subject key competencies,and the theory of constructivism,humanism,STSE and the theory of deep learning are taken as the theoretical basis of this paper.While "key competencies" has long been popular all over the world,it is found that,through interviews with front-line teachers,first-line teachers' understanding of "key competencies" is relatively vague,and they think there is a lack of key competencies teaching cases that can be really applied to the daily teaching of secondary schools.In order to reach a further accurate conclusion,the author has investigated the present situation of implementing key competencies in organic chemistry-through the middle school classroom teaching,and has taken two representative organic compounds as an example.One is hydrocarbon—ethylene,the other is the derivative of hydrocarbon—glucose,four typical middle school routine classes are selected to analyze,and the result is: emphasis on memory,light on understanding;emphasis on knowledge,light methods;emphasis on explanation,light discussion in the middle school organic chemistry teaching,which means the implementation of key competencies goals is not optimistic.For this reason,the author has designed two organic regular courses based on the “key competencies”.Through analyzing many excellent first-line teachers and experts' comments,student interviews and subsequent observation,the author finds that,the organic compound teaching based on the “key competencies” is helpful for students to study actively,to construct knowledge network,to solve problems,to develop chemistry literacy,and to promotetheir lifelong development.Finally,the author puts forward some reflections combined with practical experience,hoping to provide reference for teachers.
