Listening,speaking,reading and writing are the four basic skills in second language learning.As one of the ways for people to obtain information and knowledge,the importance of reading is self-evident.It is very crucial to choose an appropriate teaching method for primary Chinese reading teaching.In recent years,task-based teaching method has attracted the attention of TCFL teachers because of its rich theoretical basis and unique views.Based on the author's reading teaching practice in the Surawitthayakarn Middle School in Thailand,this paper attempts to combine task-based teaching method with primary Chinese reading teaching according to the goals and problems of reading teaching in the Surawitthayakarn Middle School.Hope to provide some experience and help for the majority of TCFL teachers in reading teaching.This paper consists of six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background,purpose,significance,literature review,research methods and innovation of this paper.The literature review mainly introduces the research situation of TBLT at home and abroad.The second chapter is the theoretical basis of TBLT,mainly introduces the definition of task,the characteristics of TBLT,the theoretical basis and so on.The third chapter is an analysis of the status quo of Chinese reading class in the Surawitthayakarn Middle School in Thailand.Divided into two parts,the main content is the analysis of teaching objects,materials,difficulties,and goals.The fourth chapter is the design and case implementation of the TBLT in the reading teaching of the Surawitthayakarn Middle School in Thailand.The teaching framework are “Pre-task,Task cycle,Language focus”,showing the implementation process of the three teaching cases.The fifth chapter is the teaching effect feedback and teaching reflection and suggestions.It is divided into four sub-sections: teaching effect feedback,teaching application advantages,teaching problems,teaching reflection and suggestions.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and prospect.Through observation and analysis,the author finds out that task-based primary Chinese reading teaching can improve students' enthusiasm and consciousness of reading,enhance their sense of teamwork,and improve reading comprehension and cultural awareness.However,there are still some problems in the task-based primary Chinese reading class,mainly reflected: relying on mobile phone translation affects the development of Chinese teaching,cultural thinking differences affect Chinese reading comprehension,and psychological personality differences lead to different cognitive behaviors.In view of these problems,the author gives three suggestions for teachers: strengthen the foundation of Chinese,design appropriate difficulty of tasks;classroom management and supervision,play the leader role;in-depth understanding of students,help and guide students from the side.
