The concept of CDIO originated from abroad and was first applied to the field of engineering education.The abbreviations of the English letters refer to conceive,design,implement,and operate.The practical research proves that the concept can effectively solve the problem of unbalanced development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in engineering education,and the research field is gradually extended from the engineering education field to other education fields,and has achieved good results in practical application.Through the investigation of the current teaching situation of tourism major in secondary vocational schools,it is found that there is also a problem of unbalanced development of theoretical and practical skills in students' learning and teachers' teaching.Therefore,the application of CDIO concept in the tourism classroom teaching of secondary vocational schools in this paper is a bold attempt of traditional classroom teaching,with a view to providing new classroom teaching ideas for secondary vocational schools and better promoting the development of secondary vocational education.The research contents of this thesis include the following aspects: First,literature research method was adopted to retrieve and summarize literatures related to the concept of CDIO at home and abroad,so as to form a literature review and lay the theoretical foundation of this study.Secondly,the current status of tourism classroom teaching in secondary vocational schools is investigated and analyzed,and the interview outline and questionnaire of the current status of tourism classroom teaching in secondary vocational schools based on the CDIO concept are designed.Through interviews and questionnaires,data were collected and sorted,and the feasibility of applying CDIO concept in tourism classroom teaching of secondary vocational schools was analyzed based on the data results.Third,the CDIO concept based secondary vocational tourism classroom teaching process is constructed.Taking the course "Tour Guide Business" of secondary vocational schools as an example,teaching activities are designed according to the concept,and the teaching design is applied to the classroom teaching of secondary vocational tourism major in the second grade by the method of controlled experiment.Fourthly,after the end of the experiment,the data obtained from the early and late tests were analyzed to test the teaching effect of tourism courses in secondary vocational schools based on the CDIO concept,and the reflection and summary were made based on the implementation of the experiment.According to the research,the CDIO concept has achieved good results in the classroom teaching of tourism major in secondary vocational schools.The students of experimental classes of students' study effect,theoretical knowledge and practical skills than that in comparative classes students,students can use the new theory to guide practice,in the process,both play a role to consolidate and deepen the theoretical knowledge,and can enhance students' practical operation skills proficiency,for the balanced development of students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills;In terms of student satisfaction,according to the analysis results of questionnaire and interview data,most teachers and students expressed their willingness to accept the teaching of this concept and hope to extend the theory to other tourism-related courses.In terms of students' ability,especially students' autonomous learning ability and team cooperation ability have been improved,indicating that the CDIO concept can effectively enhance students' learning and cooperation ability.At the same time,the idea of subject teaching design and implementation using CDIO concept also provides teaching practice reference for teachers in secondary vocational schools.
