The fundamental task of education is to cultivate people by virtue,and role models play an important role in moral education for students,which is of irreplaceable significance in improving students' ideological and moral cultivation and cultivating their correct values and outlook on life.The selected essays of the role models in the Chinese textbooks for junior middle school compiled by the Ministry of Education are rich in ideological nature,strong emotion and clear directions.For students in junior high school,the role models in textbooks could largely influence their emotions and values.The teaching of role models is conducive to developing students' comprehensive ability and guiding them to establish correct values.This thesis consists of five parts:The introduction clarifies the background of this thesis,sorts out the current status of research on role models and describes the research method and significance of this thesis.The first chapter first defines the concept of "role model",and on this basis,analyzes the selection and types of role models in the Chinese textbooks for junior high schools compiled by the Ministry of Education.The second chapter mainly analyzes the teaching value and significance of the role models in the Chinese textbooks for junior middle school.It mainly discusses in detail the three aspects of cultivating students' correct values,enhancing students' aesthetic ability and improving students' writing ability.The third chapter finds the following problems existing in the teaching process of role models by means of questionnaire survey and teacher interview: the writing function of role models is not fully exerted,the teaching method is not innovative enough,the aesthetic connotation is not deeply interpreted,and the moral education is not well guided.The reasons are analyzed from the aspects of teachers and students.The fourth chapter is about the improvement strategies for teaching role models in the Chinese textbooks for junior middle school.First,we should innovate diverse learning methods to cultivate students' correct values,and improve the teaching quality by using discussion methods,simulated scenarios and theme speeches,meanwhile,we are supposed to expand extracurricular relevant reading to strengthen students' understanding of the spirit of role models;we should also organize study Tours and other practical action for students to further understand the excellent qualities of the role models and implementation of the spirit of them in daily lives;Second,scientific exploration of the text of model selection,cultivate students' aesthetic quality,guide students to analyze the aesthetic factors of the text from two aspects of language and artistic conception,guide students to interpret the aesthetic value of model figures from two aspects of text content and era background,cultivating students' aesthetic quality and improving students' aesthetic ability;Third,from the aspect of writing training,teachers should guide students to fully explore the modeling techniques in the text,and guide students to use the modeling techniques of role models to carry out writing exercises such as imitation,expansion and continuation,so as to improve students' writing ability.
