The junior-high school language textbook compiled by the Ministry of Education was put into use in 2016 and is currently the most widely used textbook nationwide.This version of the new textbook incorporates the classics reading module into the teaching system,attaches great importance to the course value of the classics reading,and improves its status in Chinese teaching in junior high schools.Based on this,the author analyzes the layout and design of Classics reading module,to help teachers better understand and use the new textbooks.However,due to the restriction of many realistic factors,the teaching efficiency in Classics reading couldn't be increased.Therefore,the author took five middle schools in Changsha as an example to conduct a fact-finding,analyzed the practical teaching problems in Classics reading module.and finally provided the front-line teachers with targeted suggestions and demonstration cases.The basic framework of this article is as follows:The first part is an introduction,in which the author mainly elaborates the research background and research significance of Classics reading teaching,explored its omissions and shortcomings on the basis of the existing research,and further introduces the innovation and characteristics of this article meanwhile,the author also defines the concept of Classics reading and teaching.In the second part,the author analyzed the changes of the textbooks position of Classics reading,the number of selected classics,column design,etc.and finally discovered the four characteristics of Classics reading module:First of all,it focused on extending the read from single text to whole book then to others book.The second,it highlights the demonstration and guidance of reading methods.The third,it attaches importance to the construction of student reading systems.The forth,it emphasizes self-study,cooperative learning,and exploratory learning.In the third part,the author took five middle schools in Changsha as an example to investigate the teaching status of masterpieces.It mainly investigated the teacher's theoretical cognition and teaching practice of masterpiece reading,then finally found that the current masterpiece teaching has many problems,including utilitarian aim,simple teaching content,improper teaching methods,and single teaching evaluation methods.In the fourth part,based on the analysis of the textbook layout design and the investigation of the status of teaching Classics reading,the author took the goal,content,method and evaluation as the core starting point,and proposed a more coherent and systematic teaching idea,in which teachers should establish the goal on the basis of requirements of the "Chinese Curriculum Standards",standard of the textbook compilation concept and attention to the academic situation analysis.The teaching content should highlight the key points of textbook and pay attention to extension and expansion: take the guidance of reading methods as the key point,and take the construction of students' reading system as the core.To optimize the teaching methods in various forms: "to extend the teaching with single text as the starting point;Task-driven and self-exploration;Cooperation and exchange assisted by activities.Construct a complete evaluation system: grasp the advantages and disadvantages,adopt various evaluation methods;Comprehensive feedback,adhere to the multiple evaluation strategy.In this part,we took the instructional design process as the key thread,and summarized the thoughts of instructional design of masterpiece reading,so that teachers can have reference when preparing lessons.In the fifth part,based on teaching observation and teaching practice,the author had designed two typical and targeted teaching programs.One is taking "extending the read from single article to whole book and then multiple books" as the core teaching idea,and the other is taking "passing on knowledge of reading methods" as the main teaching plan.Two teaching programs all highlight the compilation characteristics and teaching concepts of the junior middle school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education,and are intended to provide instruction for the teaching of Classics reading module.
