The stage of elementary school is significant to establish a student's future personality development.Chinese is an important subject that runs through the whole period of elementary school in our country.It is of great significance for students to cultivate a wide range of hobbies,improve personal expression skills,and enhance interpersonal skills.While drama is an artistic activity that combines a variety of artistic and literary elements.It has certain requirements for participants in terms of lines,performances,script writing,organization of performances etc.,which corresponds to several key aspects such as language expression,writing and interpersonal communication in Chinese education in elementary school.Under the requirement of the country's basic education reform policy at the present stage that the teaching methods of Chinese education in elementary school tend to be diversified,how to integrate educational drama with Chinese teaching in elementary school on the basis of combining quality education,personality education and student-oriented spirit,organically has raised widespread concern in educational circles.This research aims to investigate the fusion of novel teaching and educational drama in Chinese teaching in elementary school.Through literature analysis,classroom observation,interviews and other methods,the problems in the integration of educational drama and novel teaching are discovered and analyzed in depth of the reasons,and then corresponding improvement measures are proposed.At the same time,this paper deeply explores the feasibility of the application of educational drama into the teaching of Chinese novels in elementary schools,which provides ideas for the preparation,practice and evaluation of educational drama and Chinese novels courses in elementary schools.Based on these problems and research results,the author completed this paper.First of all,the study investigated and analyzed the situation of novel selection and classroom teaching in the third learning paragraph of primary school Chinese respectively through classroom observation method and text analysis method.In terms of the situation of text selection,the proportion of novels in all the texts of the third learning paragraph is not very large,and the types of novels,the theme spirit and the number of main characters also have a certain influence on the application of educational drama.From the perspective of the classroom teaching of novels,teachers have a single method in the teaching of novels,which cannot reflect the differences of different novels.At the same time,two teachers from grade five and grade six each explained four novels in class.In the process of teaching novels,teachers have some problems,such as"standardization" of the interpretation of the theme,lack of self-understanding and innovation,biased requirements for students to learn novels,and lack of deep thinking and reflection.All these present situations provide the possibility for the use of educational drama,so that educational drama can play its maximum value in the teaching of novels.Secondly,through case study,this paper analyzes the teaching material positioning and text interpretation of the lesson "The Poor",and practices it personally.A teaching design using educational drama is designed for "The Poor",and the classroom effect is recorded and analyzed.Intuitively understand the feelings of students,but also listen to the relevant teachers' opinions and suggestions.Compared with lecturing,educational drama can better mobilize the classroom atmosphere,and can obviously see the improvement of students'initiative.Therefore,educational drama has incomparable advantages in the application of novel teaching.Finally,the study interviews teachers and students about the effectiveness and advantages and disadvantages of the course.The interview results showed that most of the students and teachers thought that the classroom atmosphere was relaxed and active,and the students' participation was high,which greatly improved the students' confidence in learning the novel "The Poor".However,from the perspective of the overall teaching,there are still some problems,such as the importance and difficulties of teaching design are easy to become a mere formality,the neglect of subjects teaching content in primary and secondary schools,the difficulty in grasping the teaching time,the influence of teaching progress,the lack of teachers' ability and so on.Through the combination of theory and practice,this study believes that educational drama is suitable for the teaching of novels in primary school.Education can play that allow students to gain the initiative in learning,the students' subjective initiative into full play,improve the students' innovation ability and thinking ability,and provides some new Suggestions on teaching existing novel,the new path,the new method,so that the teachers in the primary school Chinese education method on the choice of more flowers,let the students to accept education can more active and efficient.At the same time,educational drama,as a fresh blood,has some problems in the process of fully integrating into the teaching of novels,such as less optional texts,inadequate teaching effect and inadequate teachers' ability.In view of these problems,this study also makes a series of reflections,such as reforming teachers,improving teachers'professional ability,optimizing teaching,and enhancing the teaching effect.The teaching of educational drama and novel is appropriate,but in order to use it flexibly and efficiently,it is necessary to increase the frequency of use and constantly improve its problems.
