Family education is related to the lifelong development of children,and can even have a continuous impact on several generations.The importance of family education to families and society is self-evident.In order to improve the quality of family education,Chinese government has issued a number of policy documents to strengthen family education guidance,including add family education guidance into basic public services,and build a family education guidance service system covering both urban and rural areas.Family education guidance needs the support of family,school,community and government.The school is the most professional educational place.For a long time,the school has been the main position of the implementation of the family education guidance.Family education guidance is a complex work because it involves all aspects of knowledge.And with the new characteristics of the guidance objects,the teachers who do the guidance work face a lot of confusion and problems.This study aims to investigate the current situation of the family education guidance in junior high school,analyze the existing problems,and put forward improvement strategies.This study uses literature research method,questionnaire method and interview survey method.The researcher uses the literature research method to study the family education guidance in detail,and deepen the understanding on family education guidance.And the researcher uses the questionnaire method and the interview survey method to know about the current guidance situation of the school.Through the survey,the researcher summarize the following shortcomings existing in the school’s current family education guidance work.First,the form of family education guidance in the school is traditional and unitary.Second,the workload of family education guidance in the school is not evenly distributed.Third,the school teachers have limited ability to make professional guidance.Fourthly,the family education guidance content of the school is lack of system and pertinence.In view of the current problems in the school family education guidance,the researcher combined with the theory and connotation of family education guidance to put forward the following countermeasures to promote the development of the school guidance.First,the school should enrich the guidance form and update the guidance content.Second,the school should independently deepen the guidance responsibility and improve the implementation system.Third,the school should strengthen the construction of teachers and enhance their guidance ability.Fourthly,the school should actively seek government policy support and coordinate various forces.
