Reading is an important part of Chinese learning.Reading ability plays a decisive role in the progress of the country and personal development. In reading teaching,after-class exercises play an important role in helping teachers design teaching content, implement teaching goals and cultivate students' reading ability.Through combing the relevant literature,it is found that the research results of the NAEP reading evaluation project are relatively rich, but the effectiveness of the NAEP reading evaluation framework is not tested. In addition, there are a lot of results related to exercises, but most of the researches around the unified version of exercises are for junior high schools rather than elementary schools.Existing research not only lays a solid theoretical foundation for the use of research tools in this research, but also provides a research focus for this research. Therefore, this research uses the after-class exercises for grades 3-6 of the unified edition of elementary school Chinese textbooks as an entry point, with NAEP reading evaluation as a new perspective, using expert consultation and content analysis methods to analyze the reading ability pointed to by the exercises, and examine the design of the exercises.Whether it is balanced and reasonable,in order to make suggestions for its preparation.Focusing on ability evaluation,NAEP Reading Evaluation establishes reading ability and text type as the evaluation content.Based on the NAEP reading evaluation framework, constructs an analysis framework for the 3-6 grades of the unified edition of primary school Chinese textbooks, and evaluates the effectiveness of the exercise analysis framework.Degree and reliability. The constructed exercise analysis framework starts from the three aspects of exercise type, text type and reading ability.According to this framework,644 exercises for grades 3-6 are analyzed in the unified edition.Through analysis,it is found that the design and arrangement of the types of exercises are relatively reasonable on the whole, basically in line with the reading characteristics of students, but as the grade increases, the number of evaluation exercises does not show a reasonable trend;literary. The proportions of texts and practical texts are quite different, and the stylistic examination form is relatively single. Both pay less attention to the ability of "criticism/evaluation",and neither reflects the uniqueness and difference of their respective texts;each reading ability Orientation is reflected in the exercises of the unified edition, but the rationality of its weight distribution needs to be strengthened. The following conclusions can be drawn: First, the set of exercise types are more diverse, but the number of question types is unevenly distributed;second, the choice of text types is unbalanced and does not match the design of the exercises;third, the proportion of reading ability is unbalanced,Ignore high-level reading skills.Based on this, suggestions are made for the compilation of after-class exercises in the unified edition of elementary school Chinese textbooks, including:exercise design should pay equal attention to foundation and improvement, strengthen the training of students' thinking ability;enrich text types, and strengthen the correspondence between text types and exercise design;construct science Reading ability evaluation framework to rationalize the distribution of reading ability.
