Teenagers are the future of a country,and those in junior high school are the ones bearing the expectations of the society.Junior high school boarders as a special group of junior high school students,full of setbacks in the process of self-actualization and integration into school and society.They are faced with academic loss,life helplessness,psychological imbalance,family loss,security loss and other adversity.It is an important task to improve the resilience of junior middle school boarders.In order to improve the resilience of junior middle school boarders,this study involved from the professional perspective of social work,based on the advantage perspective theory,using group work method.Using the Questionnaire of Resistance Level Test for Middle School Students,the author investigates the level of resistance of boarders of J Middle School in north region of Shanxi Province,and finds that the boarding students of the school have the following needs according to the results of the survey: In terms of internal protective factors,they have the need to learn to set goals,improve their problem-solving ability,and improve their sense of optimism.In terms of external protective factors,they have a need to expand their family support role and secure school support.On the basis of,it is necessary to set up a group of junior high school boarders to improve their resilience.Based on the advantages perspective theory,a group to improve the resilience of junior middle school boarders is established.Six group activities are carried out,including connection building,goal setting,emotion management and other aspects,to help the team members use their advantages to cope with adversity.After the group work,the achievement of group goals and group satisfaction are evaluated.The results show that the group activities are effective and the group goals are basically achieved.The last,based on the practice part of the summary,the following conclusions are drawn: The theory of dominant perspective fits the development characteristics of junior middle school boarders.It can effectively improve the resistance level of junior middle school boarders.Group work plays an important role in improving the resilience of junior middle school boarders.Reflection on the group work involved in the improvement of the resilience of junior middle school boarders: It is necessary to improve the comparative study on the level of resilience of boarders and non-boarders;It is necessary to establish a linkage mechanism for group work to improve the resilience of junior middle school boarders;The combination of group work and case work can be used to improve the resilience of junior middle school boarders.
