The Improvement Of The Resilience Of Community Correction Juveniles

At present,juvenile delinquency is always a central topic in social work studies in the west countries,especially in USA.However,it is much less emphasized in Chinese social work.The measures of prevention,education and correction need to be improved.Community correction of juveniles is in full swing,but the actual number of criminals is still high,and the effect of traditional correction and education is not ideal.Compared with the judicial staff,as a professional social worker,how to innovate perspectives and strategies to participate in the process of community correction,improve the resilience of juveniles involved in crime,increase their sense of self-efficacy and optimism,and help them return to society is a subject worthy of in-depth study.The theory of strengths perspective emphasizes that the starting point is to correct the advantage resources of the service object,so as to achieve the goal of solving the problem.An important part of the basic belief of strengths perspective is resilience.Based on the theory of strengths perspective,this paper divides resilience into seven dimensions: goal setting,emotional management,interpersonal communication,problem solving,self recognition,correct understanding of setbacks,full of hope for the future.Through the design and implementation of six group activities,community correction juveniles are provided with six group activities called "open heart for the first encounter","know yourself to increase self-confidence","smooth communication and youth flying","work together to set goals","regulate emotions to vent reasonably","sail dreams starting the future voyage ",and the overall goal is to fully explore their own advantages and enhance their resilience.Finally,through the evaluation of the effect of group activities,it is found that the group work based on the theory of strengths perspective is effective in the intervention of community correction of juveniles' resilience,which is feasible and generalizable.It tests and modifies the intervention strategies for community correction of juveniles' resilience.At the same time,I reflect on the whole research process and hope to put forward suggestions to improve the same type of group,so as to provide experience for social work to specifically intervene in community correction of juveniles.
