The head teacher of middle school is "the main implementer of student management" and "the leader of students' healthy growth".The promotion of professional happiness of middle school head teachers is not only conducive to the professional development of middle school teachers,but also conducive to the improvement of the teaching quality of middle school education.The promotion of career happiness of middle school head teachers is undoubtedly a topic worth studying.The following research focuses on three core questions:What is the current level of professional happiness of middle school head teachers?What are the problems in the career happiness of middle school head teachers?How to improve the career happiness of middle school head teachers?This study investigated the occupational happiness status of 189 head teachers in 6 junior and senior middle schools in Zhaoqing city,Guangdong Province.First,the overall level of professional happiness of middle school head teachers is low.The frequency of negative emotional experience and willingness to leave the post were higher in the head teachers of No.2 Middle school.Third,the satisfaction evaluation of the career happiness of middle school head teachers is not ideal in all dimensions:the satisfaction evaluation of middle school head teachers is low in the dimensions of physical and mental health,salary and treatment,social status and school management.Under the dimensions of professional identity,interpersonal relationship and personal development,the satisfaction evaluation of middle school head teachers is general.Fourth,there was no significant difference in the career happiness experience of middle school head teachers under the variables of gender and education background.There are great differences in age,income,professional title,academic period,children and other variables.Combined with questionnaire and interview survey,the problems and causes of career happiness of head teachers in seven dimensions,including physical and mental health,salary,professional identity,social status,interpersonal relationship,personal development and school management,are analyzed.The head teacher's professional identity is insufficient,regard the post as the need of professional title evaluation;The head teacher's salary is low,pay and return are not equal;The social respect and support for the head teacher's work are insufficient and the social status needs to be improved.The head teacher and the colleague's interpersonal relationship is harmonious,but lacks the communication with the leader;The personal professional development and growth of head teachers basically depend on self-consciousness and lack of systematic post-job training;School management is not fair and reasonable and humanized,school administrators have serious bureaucratic thoughts.Finally,in view of the problems existing in the career happiness of the head teachers in the above middle schools,this paper tries to put forward countermeasures to improve the happiness of the head teachers in the middle schools from the following aspects:the country,the government,the society,the school and the head teachers themselves.
