The "Information Technology Curriculum Standard for Primary and Secondary Schools" points out that the primary school stage should focus on cultivating students’innovative spirit and practical ability, and use information technology as a means to support lifelong learning. The current curriculum teaching of various disciplines is carried out around core literacy, which has become a key aspect of information technology curriculum teaching. How to effectively improve the core literacy of primary school students is a hot spot under the current new curriculum reform.Project-based learning emphasizes that students can improve their problem-solving ability and cooperation ability through independent exploration and practice, which can fit the concept of core literacy.Aiming at the operational and practical characteristics of information technology subjects, combined with the learning characteristics of primary school students,project-based learning in the teaching of information technology courses is conducive to the implementation of the core literacy concept and plays an important role in the cultivation of primary school students’ core literacy.Focusing on the cultivation of core literacy in the teaching of elementary school information technology courses, this article has carried out corresponding research on core literacy and project-based learning, conducted on-site interviews with elementary school information technology teachers on the teaching status of information technology subjects, and conducted current students’information technology learning A questionnaire survey was conducted on the status quo.Based on the current theoretical basis of project-based learning,a project-based learning model of primary school information technology courses for core literacy training was constructed, and case studies were carried out in actual teaching.48 students in the third class of the fourth grade were selected and studied. As a participant,a project-based teaching was conducted in the class for eight weeks in a constructed model. This project-style teaching selects the project themes of the home planning that students are happy to create.Taking the "Dream Room" home design project as an example, the six links are perfected according to the selected project, planning, activity exploration, production, reporting and communication, and evaluation The project-based learning model is used for specific practice, and the class observation and recording of the whole class are carried out.The five target levels of students’ learning interest and attitude, independent learning ability, cooperative learning ability, innovative application ability, information awareness and responsibility are mainly selected.Use the small group work cooperation table, group project learning log, students’ subjective evaluation scale of learning, work evaluation scale, and performance evaluation scale of student participation in project learning as tools for measuring learning effects.Process evaluation and summative evaluation, and finally analyze the survey data.Through the exploration of this model in teaching practice,we have obtained some enlightenment for the implementation of project-based learning models, analyzed and summarized the shortcomings in the implementation of this model, and proposed optimization strategies from the perspectives of teaching environment, teaching methods, learning methods, popularization and application, etc.Specific requirements are put forward to provide examples for the application of project-based learning models in the teaching of information technology subjects in elementary schools, and to provide reference and reference for frontline teachers when choosing project-based learning. There are six parts in this paper. The first part introducts the current development status of information technology teaching from the background of the times, and explores the relationship among core literacy, information technology curriculum goals and project-based learning. The second part explores the current teaching status of elementary school information technology courses and students’ learning status and needs through on-site visits and surveys of teachers and students, and does a good job of basic investigation and research for the construction of the project-based learning model in this teaching environment. The third part is based on project-based learning, the theory of core literacy and the survey results of the previous part, constructing a project-based learning model of elementary school information technology courses for core literacy training. The fourth part carries out the case implementation and analysis of the project-based learning model of elementary school information technology curriculum oriented to the cultivation of core literacy.Carry out the "Dream Room" home design project in accordance with the process model, and analyze the implementation process and results. The fifth part analyzes the shortcomings in the implementation of the model, proposes improvement strategies, and analyzes the impact of the model on teachers and students. The sixth part summarizes the research of this article, discusses the deficiencies, and proposes prospects.
