Objective: to understand the status quo of professional identity and job burnout of middle school physical education teachers in Xiangxi,analyze the correlation between professional identity and job burnout of middle school physical education teachers in Xiangxi,refine and supplement the relevant data of middle school physical education teachers in Xiangxi,so as to provide an effective way to improve professional identity and reduce job burnout.Methods: This study takes the professional identity and burnout of middle school physical education teachers in Xiangxi as the research object,and uses the methods of literature,psychological measurement and mathematical statistics to analyze the professional identity and burnout of middle school teachers in Xiangxi.Results: the overall level of professional identity of middle school physical education teachers in Xiangxi is high;the overall level of job burnout of middle school physical education teachers in Xiangxi is low.Among the physical education teachers in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture of middle school with different individual characteristics,those with a higher sense of professional identity and a lower sense of job burnout are: Grade differences in the junior high school physical education teachers,the nature of the school,sports school physical education teachers,gender differences in the male physical education teachers,education in the differences of the highest degree of physical education teachers,in the title of the primary title of physical education teachers,teaching age difference is the lowest of teaching physical education teachers,in the oldest of the age difference of PE teachers' professional identity in the highest,Young PE teachers have a lower sense of job burnout.Pearson correlation analysis shows that there is a significant negative correlation between the overall level of professional identity and the overall level of job burnout of middle school P.E.teachers in Xiangxi Prefecture,and the five dimensions of professional identity have a significant relationship with job burnout and its three dimensions,It is found that 39.2%of the variation of job burnout of middle school physical education teachers in Xiangxi is caused by variable professional identity.In the regression equation,the standard regression coefficient of the independent variable professional identity is-0.499,the sig value is 0.000,less than 0.05,reaching the significant level,indicating that the professional identity of middle school physical education teachers in Xiangxi can be used as a predictor of their job burnout.In addition,when F-test was carried out on the model,it was found that the model passed F-test(F = 119.189,P = 0.000 < 0.01),indicating that professional identity will definitely have an impact on job burnout,which means that the regression model has statistical significance.Suggestion:In order to improve professional identity and reduce job burnout,it is suggested that schools pay attention to teachers' psychology and carry out school activities;reasonably customize rules and regulations and arrange teaching courses;increase the construction of sports facilities to create a good atmosphere;teachers can improve their academic qualifications and enhance their knowledge and skills;reasonably relax and balance work and life.
