Reading gives students spiritual nourishment and cultural edification.Mr.Ye Shengtao proposed to "read the whole book";The 2001 and 2011 editions of the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education clearly emphasize "reading the whole book";The Chinese Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(2017)lists "reading and discussion of the whole book" separately in the curriculum system.The value of improving students' Chinese literacy through reading the whole book is beyond doubt.The study of the whole book reading teaching is an urgent need for the implementation of the whole book reading teaching in primary and secondary schools.Based on the current situation of reading teaching of the whole book,the author explores the application of mind mapping in reading teaching of the whole book.The paper is divided into five parts.Introduction,mainly from the background and significance of this topic,mind mapping and the whole book reading teaching status quo at home and abroad,research objectives and methods.In the first chapter,questionnaire is compiled to investigate the current situation of reading teaching in the whole book,and the survey data is analyzed in detail.The author found that there are three aspects of the students' lack of reading total amount,little reading effect and less reading methods and skills.In the aspect of teachers,there are two situations: less method guidance and difficult test guidance.To really carry out the whole book reading requires the introduction of an efficient reading method for students.The second chapter analyzes the overview,principles and strategies of the application of mind mapping in the reading teaching of the whole book,and lists the "four-step method" and "multi-angle analysis method" of mind mapping reading.The third chapter takes Robinson Crusoe as an example to study the application of mind mapping in the reading teaching of the whole book.Epilogue,the paper puts forward a mind map is used to read the whole book can promote students to read the entire book interests,increase the students to read the entire book effect and promote students' thinking sparks and other advantages,also envisages a subsequent continue to promote a mind map,in practice to improve,respect for individual differences,pay attention to when using mind mapping by achieve mastery through a comprehensive study,etc.Through the methods of current situation investigation,literature research and action research,this paper holds that the application of mind mapping in reading teaching of the whole book is feasible,and some achievements have been made in relevant practical exploration.Theoretical analysis makes clear that mind mapping applies strategies and methods in the reading teaching of the whole book,and practice exploration tries to apply methods in the reading teaching of the whole book to guide and practice reading.The author will continue to carry out the practical research work of this topic in the future.
