With the frequent of mathematics open problems appear in various exams,it means that higher requirements are put forward to solve mathematics open problems.Mathematics open questions have unique advantages,Teachers need to investigate the current situation of students answering mathematics open questions and its influencing factors.On the other hand,The Mathematics Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education points out teachers should instruct students to read,provide space for students to read math material and appreciate the beauty of mathematics.157 junior two students as subjects,this paper want to explore students' level of mathematics reading and solving open problems by mathematics reading test and mathematics open questions,further explore the relationship between the two.Comparing differences between open problem solving and mathematics reading which have different academic levels,different gender.Through investigation and research,this study has a few conclusions:(1)The mathematics reading ability of the students in the second year of junior school is in the middle level on the whole.The mean value of mathematics reading scores of male and female is very close,there is no obvious difference between the mathematics reading ability of male and female.There are significant differences in mathematics reading ability between different academic levels.(2)On the whole,the students' ability of solving mathematics open problems is at a medium level.The average scores of boys is slightly higher than girls,but there is no obvious difference between boys and girls in solving open problems.There are significant differences between students at different academic levels in solving open questions.(3)Different mathematics reading ability of the students have significant difference in solving open problems.In the three groups,the variance open problems of middle mathematics reading group is the least,which indicates that the score of open problems in middle mathematics reading group is the most stable.(4)There is a positive correlation between the mathematics reading ability and open problem solving in grade two.The correlation coefficient is zero point seven nine five.(5)The linear regression equation between mathematics open problem solving and mathematics reading ability is y = 0.707 x + 6.953,r = 0.632,which means 63%of mathematics open problems are caused by mathematics reading.(6)According to the study results,a lot of suggestions from student and teachers to promote students' mathematics reading ability and open problem solving ability.Let mathematics reading and mathematics open questions enter the class,practice properly,and take measures to promote students' learning.
