With the development of society, more and more experts and scholars pay close attention to the whole book reading.Since the Chinese education becomes an independent subject, the older generation of Chinese educators has done a lot of pioneering researches on “reading the whole book”.In the 2017 edition of General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards, the most prominent two words are Chinese core literacy and learning task group.Among the 18 studying task groups, reading and discussion of the whole book are given the top priority, and the study of this task group runs through the compulsory and elective courses, occupying 1 credit and 18 class hours, which shows the importance. But at the same time, the rise of new media is subtly changing the way we learn, the way we live, and even the way we see the world. The past reading saints' books only without knowing external trivialities style has been gradually replaced, and cross-media reading has become an irreversible trend. In addition, the 2017 edition of the new curriculum standard has made cross media reading and communication as one of the compulsory courses in senior Chinese education throughout the compulsory and elective parts. It mentions that “the extension of Chinese is equal to the extension of life” and “education is life”,which demonstrates that it is an inevitability of present time and necessity for Chinese curriculum to fulfill its social function. So,how does the whole book reading teaching, especially the whole book reading teaching of the classic texts, cope with the impact of the current reading habits of fragmentation and superficiality as well as entertaining times? Can the whole book reading and cross-media reading integrate organically and form a “cross-task group” learning model to better promote reading teaching of Chinese in senior high school. This thesis attempts to integrate “cross-media reading” with “whole book reading” and explore a new strategy of “cross-group” task-group learning so as to improve the teaching quality of Chinese whole book reading in high school. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the thesis mainly includes the following chapters:Chapter One,the presentation of “cross-media reading” and “the whole book reading”,can be divided into two parts.Firstly, this thesis defines the concepts of “media and cross-media” and “cross-media reading” and explains the characteristics of the teaching of “cross-media reading” in senior Chinese.Secondly,it defines the concepts of “whole book” and “whole book reading” and explains the proposition and regulation of whole book reading in the new Chinese curriculum standard of senior high school, and the practical significance of carrying out whole book reading teaching. The second chapter introduces the current situation and main problems of the whole book reading teaching of senior Chinese basing on the results of questionnaire. From the results of questionnaire,it is concluded that the whole book reading habits of senior high school students have many characteristics, such as the drive and utility of reading behavior, the individuality and practicability on book selection, the shortage of reading time, mainly spent out of class, the conventionality and diversification of reading methods, the high demand and expectation for reading teaching, the low efficiency and high potential of reading results.Besides, some characteristics also exist during the process of whole book reading teaching, such as similarities between teachers' personal reading and students' reading, teachers' strong support with limited supervision and guidance and higher request to the teachers' ability and competency proposed by the whole book reading.Generally speaking, there are two problems in the whole book reading teaching of Chinese in senior high school. One is that students need a lot of reading time, but their daily time is fragmented. The other is that they have high expectation of reading, while teachers can only provide limited guidance. The third chapter is about the necessity and feasibility analysis of the integration of cross-media reading and the whole book reading task group. This thesis analyzes the necessity of cross-task group learning from the inevitable trend of “internet plus Chinese” and the objective limitation of high school Chinese class, and it also analyzes the feasibility of cross-task group teaching from the aspects of the consistency of the cultivation of Chinese subject competences. The fourth chapter gives some strategic suggestions about the integration of the cross-media reading and the whole book reading task group”.In the fifth chapter, taking Native China as an example, the author designs a cross-task group reading unit teaching scheme, basing on the platform of We Chat public account.
