Textbooks are the most authoritative learning materials for students and the main media for teachers to conduct teaching activities.In 2003,China promulgated the "Geography Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools".With this standard as the standard,the phenomenon of "one standard and multiple books" has appeared,and four editions of textbooks have appeared successively.The Geography Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(Revised in 2020)will be issued in 2020.Different versions of textbooks compiled according to the new curriculum standards(2019 edition)have great differences in framework structure,image system,activity system and other aspects.Taking the geography textbooks of PEP and Hunan Education editions of 2019 as the research object,this paper uses literature method,comparative analysis method,quantitative analysis method,questionnaire survey method and interview method to study the two editions of textbooks.By comparing the surface system of the geography textbooks of "PEP" and "Hunan Education Edition",this paper mainly makes a comparative analysis from four aspects of frame structure,text system,image system and activity system,and concludes the following conclusions:The chapter structure and number of the two versions are similar,and the titles of the PEP version are more professional,while those of the Hunan version are more affinity.In terms of content,the two versions of the textbooks basically meet the requirements of the curriculum standards.The PEP version of the textbooks has clear knowledge context and stronger professionalism.The Hunan version of the textbooks has broad scope of knowledge and is challenging and interesting.The number of images in the two versions of textbooks is rich,and emphasis is placed on the use of landscape maps,schematic maps and different image combinations.The images in the PEP edition of textbooks are scientific and beautiful.The activity design of the two editions of textbooks is in line with the cognitive characteristics of students,and the activity design of the Hunan Education Edition textbooks pays attention to the cultivation of students’ abilities.Based on the analysis of the above textbooks,the following teaching suggestions are put forward: the PEP textbooks should introduce and guide the content of geography learning before the formal opening of the course;Recombine teaching material with teaching practice in teaching;Pay attention to the teaching of problem inquiry module.The teaching materials of Hunan Education Edition are based on the curriculum standards.Pay attention to the teaching process of life;Organize the context of knowledge with mind mapping.The two versions of textbooks internalize the new curriculum idea in teaching;Follow the perceptual law of students;Promoting intuitive teaching;To establish their own resource base;Using group cooperation to explore,improve the quality of teaching.
