The history of mathematics contains mathematical knowledge and methods,and carries mathematical thought and culture.Both the General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(Experimental draft)and the General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)advocate the infiltration of the history of mathematics in high school textbooks or education,but are teachers and students satisfied the content of the history of mathematics in the textbooks? Are there any problems in the use of the contents of the history of mathematics in the textbooks? Is the history of mathematics in the textbook suitable for teachers' teaching and students' learning? Therefore,it is necessary to study the appropriateness of the content of the history of mathematics in the textbook.Based on this,this article takes the People's Education A version of the compulsory high school mathematics textbook as the research object,and studies the suitability of the content of the history of mathematics in the high school textbook for teacher teaching and student learning from two perspectives of text analysis and teacher-student investigation.Through the above research,it is concluded that the text analysis from the four aspects of overall design,content selection,content arrangement and value expression is consistent with the results of the teacher and student survey.They all believe that the content of the history of mathematics in the textbook is more appropriate.Specifically: the overall design is highly relevant,extensive and readable;In terms of content selection,the subject is rich in types,countries are selected,taking into account the history of domestic and foreign development,and the integration of disciplines;In content arrangement,the knowledge field is generally balanced,the column distribution is reasonable,and the integration methods are diverse;In terms of value expression,cultural awareness,emotional attitude and value expression are more appropriate.But there are also unsuitable places: in terms of overall practicality,teachers hold a neutral attitude;content selection needs to be improved in terms of showing the full picture of history and interdisciplinary integration;In terms of value expression,students think that the cognitive value of historical materials is not very good appropriate.In response to the research conclusions,suggestions for optimizing the content of mathematics history in high school mathematics textbook: Enhance the practicality and relevance of the history of mathematics;appropriately increase foreign historical materials in the content selection to reflect the specific integration of disciplines.the content arrangement reasonably increase the history of mathematics in probability and statistics,introduction,text,and exercises,and develop the history of mathematics in a way of implicit integration;in the value of historical materials,pay attention to the reflection of the cognitive value of historical materials,so that historical materials can be used value.
