From the current trend of social development and educational reform,thetraditional examination-oriented education is rigid and single,which overemphasizesthe students' examination scores and the school's transition rate,which seriouslyviolates the guidelines for the all-round development of students.Since entering the21st century,the society requires the cultivation of students into high-tech talentswith innovative spirit and practical ability.Based on the above educational background,this paper puts forward a kind ofteaching mode and learning method that accord with the modern educational idea—— research-based learning?Based on the existing educational and teaching ideas,this paper puts forward the following questions:(1)taking a middle school inShanghai as an example,this paper discusses how the research-based learningactivities are carried out in the mathematics stage of the middle school.(2)Accordingto the existing implementation,which content in the middle school mathematicstextbook can carry on the research study activity?(3)what are the requirements ofresearch-based learning activities in the middle school mathematics stage?(4)middleschool mathematics research-based learning activities can be divided into severaltypes of implementation.By reading a large number of literature,this paper summarizes the previous research work.In view of question 1,the author first through a certain questionnaire survey of teachers and students in a middle school in Shanghai.The main reasons that restrict the development of research-based learning in middle school stage are summarized:(1)the traditional concept of education and teaching leads to the lack of acceptance of research-based learning activities.(2)Teachers are concerned about the efficiency of classroom use and whether they can complete the teaching workload.(3)lack of students' ability to handle knowledge.Based on the above reasons,this paper divides into four types about how to implement the research-based learning model in middle school :(1)the Knowledge-inquiry research activity,the content of it can be selected from the mathematics textbook to carry out.This type of activity design should be on the basis of the students' understanding of the knowledge points,the aim of it is to deep divergence of students' mathematical thinking.(2)the Study-oriented reseach learning activity,the content of it can be selected from the after-class exercises or open questions to carry out.This type of learning activities can improve students' ability to solve problems.(3)the Paractical-reseach Study activity:the content of it can be selected from the practical problems of life to carry out.The design of this type of learning activities exercises the students' practical ability and the planning ability of organizing activities.(4)the Social-investigate reseach learning activity:the content of it can be selected from suitable from social hot issues to carry out.The design of this type of learning activities is to help students contact society and understand society.Finally,this paper carries on a semester of mathematics research study in a middle school in Shanghai.This experiment data examines students' mathematics research learning ability through questionnaire score and mathematics comprehensive score.Through the analysis of experimental data,it can be found that through the development of research-based learning,the students' mathematical thinking ability,communication and cooperation have been improved to a certain extent,the scores of middle and lower grade students have been improved slightly,and the students' ability of communication and cooperation and hands-on problem-solving has also been strengthened.This paper provides some theoretical support for the implementation of research-based teaching in middle school,and puts forward some suggestions and shortcomings for the implementation of research-based teaching in middle school according to the trend of educational reform at present.
