The competition between countries in the 21 st century is the competition of science and technology.In our country,in order to cultivate more scientific and technological talents,science disciplines in primary schools have become the main subjects for students.In 2007,the Ministry of Education has formulated“Compulsory Education Primary School Science Curriculum Standards”.The thesis elaborates the changes of the new science curriculum standard in four aspects: idea,goal,content,teaching method.Through teaching and collecting relevant research data at home and abroad,the author finds that there are some problems in effective teaching in science classrooms in primary schools.First,literature research is used to find out the strategies that may improve the effectiveness of elementary science class.Then,action research is used to verify the operability of these strategies.The problems in effective teaching of science in primary schools are mainly the following: On the teachers' side,they usually ignore the status of the students and utilize less modern teaching technology.On the students' side,the students are less enthusiastic and rarely think independently.On the side of school and society,there isn't enough emphasis on the science curriculum.In addition,the teaching evaluation methods hasn't kept pace with the times.Therefore,the author proposes four strategies,which are students-centred,focus on the design of teaching,link scientific knowledge to reality and diversify the teaching evaluation.In the course of action research,the author elaborates the design intent and improvement of each link of teaching,finds out the problems encountered in teaching and their solutions,analyzes teaching effects in and after class,identifies the problems and improvements in effective teaching,and reflects every time.After three rounds of action research,the author continuously improves the teaching plans in order to enhance the effectiveness of science classes in primary schools.The thesis offers the suggestions for the front-line teachers in the effectiveness of science classes in primary schools,aiming at advocating inquiry-based teaching,enhancing the meaning and interest of the course,causing students' cognitive conflicts and teaching content to be put into practice.
