Under the background of the new curriculum reform, the Ministry of Education has proposed in time a modified Curriculum Standards of Ideological and Political Course in Full-Time Ordinary Senior High School for the practical teaching problems of middle school political disciplines. Practice has proved that the new curriculum standards have brought new opportunities and energies into the reform and development of the teaching theory and practice of high school political disciplines with good results. In the meantime, the Ministry of Education also points out that gap does exist between the new standards and the teaching practices of the current senior high school political disciplines due to various factors. Therefore, based on the importance of the new curriculum standards and senior high school political disciplines as well as the necessity to deal with the relations between the two, the study analyzes the problems and weaknesses of practical senior high school political courses, discusses the new situations and problems in the courses, and proposes feasible strategies to build efficient political courses in accordance with the new curriculum standards through practical experience to help educational reality to approach the educational ideal.Under the background of the new curriculum reform, the study focuses on the impact of the new curriculum standards on senior high school political disciplines with the basic theory of ideological and political pedagogy. The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter discusses the background of the study, literature review, and the meaning and methods of the study. The second chapter summarizes the basic idea and standards of the new curriculum reform, as well as the detailed requirements of senior high school political disciplines. The third chapter analyzes the opportunities and challenges based on the impact of the new curriculum standards on senior high school political disciplines. The fourth chapter points out the gap between the standards and the practices by learning from the experience and lessons from the current political courses, admits the problems in the current political teaching practices and explores the root for better guidance of the new practices. The fifth chapter proposes feasible strategies from aspects of the teacher, the student and the school based on the impact of the new curriculum standards and the problems of the practical performances And at last,the paper concludes and deepens the key contents and theme of the study with a conclusion.
