HPS was first proposed by Western educators Maher,Matthews and others in the 19 th century.Its original intention was to deepen students’ understanding of natural science and improve the quality of science education.Its full name is history,philosophy and sociology of science(HPSS),of which the history of science is its core part.With the changes in the needs of curriculum reforms in various countries,a teaching model that incorporates HPS concepts has emerged.This is a teaching model based on constructivism theory and derived from HPS concepts.It integrates the history of science into science education.In which the history of physics is the main line of classroom activities.The scientific methodology is interspersed in the process to guide students to think about the connection among physics curriculum learning,science and technology and social development.Then their ability to think and explore independently will be enhanced.They can even master scientific thinking methods.Eventually achieve the goal of forming the core literacy of physics under the new curriculum standard.The research in this thesis is based on the background of the "core literacy" proposed by our country in the new general high school physics curriculum standards promulgated in 2017.This document conducts in-depth exploration and research on the application of HPS teaching mode in high school physics teaching.This research puts forward the theoretical basis of high school physics teaching on the basis of a large amount of literature reading.Expounds the meaning of the HPS concept and the formation of the HPS teaching model.After that,several more common HPS teaching modes were integrated and sorted out.According to the teaching characteristics of high school physics,the details that need to be paid attention to in the application of HPS teaching mode were supplemented and perfected,and the case design is carried out.The evaluation of case implementation results mainly adopts the form of questionnaire survey.The research object is two parallel classes in a high school in Shanxi Province.The questionnaires are distributed in two times-before and after the implementation of the case.The results of the two measurements are compared.The results of the returned questionnaire are analyzed in four dimensions of the core literacy required by the standard.The final experimental conclusion shows that the four dimensions of core literacy of the tested students have improved,and the HPS teaching model can promote the development of the core literacy of students to a certain extent.Through the research of this paper,it can be seen that the HPS teaching mode is undoubtedly a teaching mode that enables students to contact the essence of scientific thinking through the history of science,philosophy of science,and sociology of science more easily.The HPS teaching mode is further improved in practice.With practice,students meet the requirements of the new curriculum standard.The practice of the HPS teaching mode has enhanced students’ core literacy,strengthen their sense of inquiry and ability,and make them grow into outstanding and talented people suitable for social development.
