In 2001,the Ministry of Education issued a series of policy documents, such as the Outline of Curriculum Reform for Basic Education(Trial Implementation),which emphasized the cultivation of students’ ability to put forward and analyze problems. And "graphics and geometry" are closely related to our life. For example, the calculation of length,Angle, area, volume, etc.,as well as graphs such as triangles, quadrilaterals and circles can be seen everywhere, and their properties may be used to help us solve practical problems. With the advancement of new curriculum reform, more and more front-line teachers begin to pay close attention to creation of problem situation, realize the importance of creating problem situation, but many teachers for creating problem situation theory knowledge is relatively scarce,on how to create problem situation and what problems should be paid attention to when the establishment situation there is no clear cognition, also lack of corresponding practice guidance.Based on these background, using literature analysis method, questionnaire survey method, interview method and practical research method and other research methods, specifically study the following three questions: How is the current situation of creating problem situation in junior middle school mathematics classroom? How should we create appropriate problem situations according to students’ learning characteristics and teaching contents? We still need to study these problems in depth and detail.Question 1: what is the current situation of creating problem situation in junior middle school mathematics class?Question 2: how to propose reasonable strategies based on the conclusion of the investigation and analysis of the current situation?Question 3: how to create an appropriate problem situation according to students’ learning characteristics and teaching content?Firstly, this paper introduces the background of the topic, the significance of the research, and analyzes the previous research status of the problem situation. In the research process, the problem situation and the concept of graphics and geometry are defined, and constructivism theory and situational cognitive learning theory are used as the theoretical support of this research. This paper conducts a questionnaire survey on the current situation of problem situation creation in junior high school "graphics and geometry" teaching and students’ experience of problem situation creation in teachers’ classroom.Through statistical analysis of the data,it is found that teachers have problems in problem situation creation, such as unclear cognition, neglect of levels and single case source. Therefore, this paper mainly explores the principles and strategies of creating problem situations in junior high school "graphics and geometry" teaching, and puts forward that "graphics and geometry" teaching should pay attention to interest, exploration, moderation, level, scientific. In teaching, problem situations can be created from four perspectives: using background materials to create problem situations to stimulate students’ interest in learning;Create problem situation through life practice, arouse students’ desire to explore;Use teaching media to create problem situation to induce students’ innovation consciousness;Arrange mathematical activities to create problem situations and cultivate students’ practical spirit. Finally, through the practical research on the problem situation design in the teaching of "graphics and geometry" in junior high school, this paper shows that the appropriate problem situation can stimulate students’ interest in learning, guide students to think positively, improve students’ ability to find and solve problems, and optimize the classroom teaching effect.
