In our country,at present,rural education is still the shortcoming of basic education,to make up for this weakness,the focus is on the construction of the teachers.As it turns out,teachers on the job have to improve,update and extend the knowledge they have learned in pre-vocational education in order to adapt and meet the needs of the position.In that case,the role of in-service education is critical."General Teachers in Rural Primary Schools" in Guangxi(Hereinafter referred to as general teachers)is Junior college students majoring in teacher education who is a targeted publicly funded and trained by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's oriented training program for general teachers in 2013.As planed,two-year general teacher oriented training began which starts at the high school In 2013.In 2014,two-year and five-year general teacher oriented training which starts at the junior high school began at the same time.Three years later,Three-year training program for junior and Four-year training program for undergraduate are added.They must serve targeted rural primary school more than 6 years that cannot be released from work for academic education as agreed in the agreement which signed before enrolling after graduate.So far in Guangxi,two-year,three-year and five-year publicly funded general teachers are principle who are on the job in rural primary school.For this special group who In line of work,In-service education is needed even more Both psychologically and intellectually in order to promote the healthy growth and professional development.By investigating the present Implementation on In-service education for general teachers in Guangxi,we have a clear understanding in this subject.Through analysis and summary of the survey results,the improvement strategies are put forward Pertinently.What we expect in this study is to help general teachers establish the concept of lifelong learning,provide ideas for pushing the development of general teachers' profession and creation of learning organization and offer some advice for the mobilization of In-service education in general teachers which is hoped scientific,practical and targeted.Literature research and on-site investigation method are used synthetically in this research so that we could discuss deeply.On the one hand,this thesis sort out and summarized the domestic and foreign research results of primary school general teachers and In-service education,based on the theory of lifelong education,learning organization,and teacher professional development through literature research.At the same time,what defined and Interpreted normatively is that what is rural areas,what is general teachers in rural primary school and what is In-service education.On the other hand,during the investigation,questionnaire was designed and live interview was added by referencing this book which named Analysis of Teacher Training Needs.the questionnaire was distributed with the help of head teachers in colleges where have brought up a large number of primary education general teachers which includes participating awareness and motivation,approach and content,response and expectation of In-service education.In the end we got 488 valid results.In this period,the author Interviewed lively some general teachers,deans and presidents who engaged in five rural primary schools in Guangxi.The software such as EXCEL and SPSS which specialized in data process was applied in the study which combined the results of investigation with interviews.According to the analysis,it may be concluded that overall situation of In-service education in general teachers was just so so.Everything ran under the framework of the system.But Inevitably,after Induction there are the following defects in In-service education.above all,participation concept is narrow and Insufficient drive.Secondly,the In-service education opportunity is rare and quality is not guaranteed for general teachers.In addition,Lack of participation incentives and formality evaluation are common.Through attribution analysis,it is widely acknowledged internally that they lack awareness of the importance of In-service education and development of profession.To balance the contradiction between work and study is difficult for general teachers in rural primary school.Externally,it is contributed that leaders in school do not pay much attention to talent training,Local government give limited support in In-service education,the contents and forms of In-service education are far away from the real needs of general teachers,the evaluation system is not sound.The research concluded that In-service education should focus on the following four aspects to make improvements so as to encourage professional development and healthy growth of general teachers.First of all,government department muse take measures such as provide an equal platform,advance regional cooperation and exchanges in Guangxi to increase its efforts to support In-service education.Secondly,upgrade the educational intermediary system for this specific group.It is critical for general teachers to get content,training form and evaluation system which is closed to the rural education environment in Guangxi and fit the general teachers.The third item,the rural primary school should create a good learning atmosphere,strengthen school-based training,and cultivate high-quality general teachers to built the learning organization.At last but not least,take all means to help general teachers to give full play to the individual subjective initiative by helping to establish the correct "view of learning","professional view" and "professional development view".
