A Survey On The Professional Competence Of New General Teachers In Rural Areas

The professional ability of primary school teachers includes four dimensions:general professional ability,teaching ability,education ability and development ability.Based on these four dimensions,the questionnaire on the current situation of professional ability of new general practice teachers is compiled,and the graduates of general practice education major in Primary School of H Normal University from2016 to 2019 are taken as the research samples to conduct the questionnaire survey.It is found that the professional competence of new general practitioners is good as a whole,and the level of each dimension is relatively balanced.From the perspective of dimensions,the general professional ability reaches the excellent level,and the teaching ability,education ability and development ability are good.From the perspective of influencing factors,due to the short years of employment,school size,gender,number of teaching departments,whether to be a head teacher,middle-level and other factors have no significant impact on the professional level,but the promotion of all dimensions of ability is mainly affected by the length of teaching,among which the promotion of teaching ability is most affected by the length of teaching,and the promotion of educational ability is least affected by the length of teaching.The study found that there are the following problems in the professional ability of primary school general practitioners: the ability of teaching goal design and textbook interpretation in the process of teaching design needs to be improved;the ability of classroom generative processing and students' difference processing is insufficient,which leads to the lack of classroom flexible control ability;the ability of teaching evaluation is lack of muti perspective and whole process;the ability of curriculum integration needs to be improved;the meaning of teachers' independent development needs to be improved Knowledge and ability need to be improved.The study also found that: many tasks,insufficient time and energy,poor foundation of students,small role of teaching and research team are the main factors that hinder the professional ability of new rural general practitioners.By interviewing two teachers with excellent professional development,it is found that the main factors contributing to the development of their professional ability include: distribution in large-scale schools;emphasis on time arrangement;succession from lower grades;emphasis on the combination of practice and theory,and necessary professional guidance.In order to effectively improve the professional ability of rural primary school teachers,we need to increase reflective practice,innovate teacher skills training,focus on key difficulties in non-service education,help students increase practical experience,improve application ability,and overcome practical difficulties;in post service training,we need research experts and urban-rural cooperation to improve the depth and frequency of rural primary school teachers' participation in training We should improve the school-based research system,increase the mutual help of colleagues,enhance the action of independent development,make full use of the research based on daily teaching to give new general practitioners more development space and improve the institutional guarantee of development;teachers need to make clear their own development plan,treat routine work with the attitude of research,and obtain sustainable professional development through practice,reflection and peer assistance development.
