In order to improve the students’ physical health and interest in sports,and promote the development of lifelong sports,the Ministry of Education issued the "curriculum standard",which proposed the teaching mode of combining compulsory courses and elective courses according to the learning characteristics of high school students.Under this teaching mode,the option teaching was formally proposed,that is,under the existing conditions of the school,students choose their own sports,and make it more effective through systematic teaching Master a series of sports skills and improve interest in sports,enhance physical fitness.After more than ten years of efforts,Tianjin has gained a lot of successful experience and laid the foundation for further development.However,the development of things is tortuous,and there are still difficulties in the development of option teaching,which need to be overcome in practice.This paper uses the methods of literature,questionnaire,expert interview and mathematical statistics to investigate the teaching status,teachers,venue equipment,teaching organization and evaluation of the three key high schools in Tianjin.The results are as follows:(1)most teachers and students have a deep understanding of optional teaching,clear teaching objectives of each school,teaching content basically meets the needs of students,but lacks new sports;(2)the teachers basically meet the needs of daily teaching,but the proportion of men and women in the teachers’ team is unbalanced,the age structure is middle-aged and the teachers of new projects are lacking;(3)traditional teachers are not in the new project;3 The sports field equipment basically meets the daily teaching needs,but cannot be guaranteed in special weather;there is no new field equipment;(4)the teaching organization is based on grade,breaking the previous administrative class for teaching;most teachers can use qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation.Through the analysis and investigation of the actual situation,there are some differences between theory and practice.The factors such as insufficient attention of relevant departments and schools,lack of professional ability of teachers and lack of venue equipment are the key factors to influence and restrict the development of optional teaching.Therefore,it is proposed that:(1)strengthen the attention of relevant departments and schools to sports option teaching;(2)improve the teachers’ team The professional level and teaching ability;(3)reasonable use of site equipment,improve the utilization of teaching resources;(4)control the number of selected classes,adjust and arrange reasonably;(5)improve the evaluation system of option teaching,and improve the enthusiasm of students’ learning.Through solving the problems encountered in the implementation of option teaching,and in the process of solving,it is constantly improved,which lays a good foundation for the further development of school sports.
