With the further deepening of the new curriculum reform, our educators combined thetheoretical research and practical research on the view of the reform of teachingorganization, actively explored on different teaching methods and provided a theoreticalbasis for teaching, which achieved good teaching results. However, in the teaching process,the student individual differences on the physical education and sports ability, which maylead students not to better grasp the content of teaching, thus affecting the effectiveness ofteaching.Through the ways of documents, teaching experiment, experiment and questionnairesurvey, this paper implemented the study of level teaching with the high school basketballoption class. Implementing the level teaching with the high school basketball option class,it meet the requirements of the quality-oriented education and the new high schoolcurriculum reform. Traditional sports teaching ignored the students’ physical fitness andbasketball basic differences. The level teaching breaks the traditional teaching idea, bringsnew vigor and vitality to the teaching of high school basketball, makes high schoolbasketball teaching have great changes Implementing the level teaching with the highschool basketball option class has greatly improved the students’ enthusiasm for basketballknowledge learning, has played a catalytic role to the learning of basketball basictheoretical knowledge and technology, Given students autonomous learning space,enhanced the interaction between teachers and students.For the purpose of ascertaining the result of the level teaching pedagogy, the authormakes an experimental study in senior grade one through a semester demonstrated itsadvantages and practical application, analyzed and evaluated its teaching effectiveness. Theresults show that:(1) The level teaching method can stimulate students’ learning interest,mobilize the students learning enthusiasm and initiative, and tap the learning potential ofstudents, so that students can understand the pleasure of success;(2) Able to achieve allstudents’ desire to learn, is conducive to quickly grasp and improve students’ skills inbasketball;(3) Basketball’ collective antagonism and cooperation consciousness were morestrongly reflected in the teaching activities;(4) Improved students’ self-learning andlife-long exercise awareness;(5) Conducive to the improvement of teaching ability;(6)Hierarchical groups and entire classes of students have been improved on the basis of the origin and completed a physical education learning tasks. Teaching practice has proved thatit is feasible to apply the level teaching method to high school basketball. According to thefindings, the following recommendations:(1) Implementing level teaching to be linkedwith the new curriculum standards;(2) Preventing grouping unchanged for a long timepacket unchanged for a long time;(3) Should strengthen the professional quality of PEteachers in high schools.
