The research on the theory of scientific inquiry is abundant now,especially in the connotation of scientific inquiry,strategies,and the influence factors have made abundant achievements.But there are still some deficiencies,such as in the study of the whole scientific inquiry,to the student science inquisition ability training research and explore ideas in the class file is still less research of mining.Therefore,this study chooses to compare the curriculum standards of high school physics between China and the United States from the perspective of scientific inquiry,in order to fill the research gap.This study holds that scientific inquiry in scientific inquiry education means engaging in scientific education activities in the way of inquiry,including inquiry learning and inquiry teaching:Inquiry learning refers to a learning method that enables students to understand scientific knowledge and the production process of scientific knowledge by simulating real scientific inquiry.It includes two aspects.On the one hand,it is the ideological aspect.On the other hand,inquiry learning is also an operation mode or method that reflects the process of knowledge output.Scientific inquiry teaching is a teaching method and mode,which aims at cultivating students’ scientific thinking and scientific inquiry ability and is a teaching activity based on real problem situation.Scientific inquiry teaching has two meanings,one is based on science inquiry teaching methods,refers to the science inquiry as the main mode of teaching,inquiry teaching is known as(would as inquiry),are educators guided by the theory of scientific inquiry,in the teaching process to establish the real problem,guide students through the process of a series of exploration,exercise the students’ ability of scientific thinking and scientific reasoning,from first hand experiences a better understanding of science essence of knowledge production process.The second is the teaching of inquiry with inquiry as the educational content,that is,educators take the skills,process and nature of inquiry as the teaching content and goal.Scientific inquiry is a teaching activity carried out as the collection of process skills.It does not pay attention to scientific knowledge,but emphasizes the steps and process nature of inquiry.This study,first of all,the essence of the scientific inquiry as to the student a thorough theoretical analysis,the source,connotation,characteristics,classification,the ability to model five aspects to discuss,and as a theory foundation to build the comparison of the perspective of scientific inquiry physics curriculum standard framework,in China the ordinary high school physics curriculum standard(2017edition)and the United States,"the next generation of science curriculum standard" school branch office to conduct in-depth to explore ideas of mining,and comparative analysis.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions on the revision of China’s high school physics curriculum standards: make the connotation of scientific inquiry clear;We should pay more attention to the design elements.Strengthen links with other disciplines;Increase the exploration activities that reflect the nature of science.Suggestions for the development of physics teachers in China are as follows:strengthen the study of inquiry theory;Purposeful design of inquiry activities;Deepen the teaching of understanding the nature of science.
