The logical starting point and the highest goal of education is life.Life education is aimed at awakening students’ life consciousness,developing students’ life potential,promoting students’ life growth,improving students’ life quality and shaping students’ sound personality.The middle school stage is the formation period of students’ ideology and morality,values and behavior habits,and it is also a good time for life education.The moral and rule of law course undertakes many educational tasks such as helping students to establish basic moral concepts,legal system and perfect personality,and becomes the main channel and front of life education.Moral and rule of law course not only sets up a special life education unit,but also permeates the care for life in the whole curriculum system,reflecting the educational concept of "taking student development as the foundation".The comprehensive implementation of the new textbooks also provides rich educational materials and new opportunities for life education.Therefore,strengthening life education in the teaching of moral and rule of law course is the necessary requirement to promote the healthy growth of students’ body and mind,and is also the due meaning of the subject.This paper mainly adopts literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview method to investigate and analyze the teachers and students in the section of "Morality and Ideology" in four junior high schools in H County,so as to understand the implementation status of life education in the course of "Morality and Rule of Law" in junior high schools.Through the implementation of life education in "Morality and the Rule of Law" in junior high school,teachers’ attitude towards life education,students’ understanding of life and life education,and school life education teaching environment have been improved to a certain extent,but they are still not very ideal.The content of life education is not complete,the consciousness of life education is weak,the teaching method of life education is single,and the teaching effect of life education is not good.The main reasons are that the evaluation of teachers’ teaching effect is too single,some teachers’ quality of life education is not high,passive exam-oriented education restricts life education,and some teachers fall into the state of job burnout.In view of the problems and causes of life education in the course of "morality and rule of law" in junior high school,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures,including improving the quality of life education,strengthening the construction of teachers;The content of life education should be fully integrated;Innovate teaching methods,strengthen the effect of life education;Perfecting educational evaluation mechanism,promoting students’ all-round development and so on.
