The Geography Curriculum Standard for Senior High School(2017 Edition)clearly proposes to pay attention to the cultivation of students' map skills,that is,the ability to obtain,interpret and apply information from geographical images.As a common type of geographical image,geographical distribution map can replace a large number of language,intuitively express the distribution characteristics of various geographical elements,and reveal the relationship between objects in the region.In high school geography teaching,geographical distribution map is not only an important carrier and teaching tool of geography knowledge,but also the teaching content of geography examination.Therefore,the teaching strategy of high school geographical distribution map has become a topic worthy of study and discussion.Through reading a large number of literature and combing the research results at home and abroad,the author makes clear the meaning of geographical distribution map,divides geographical distribution map into four categories,namely point distribution map,line distribution map,area distribution map,and comprehensive map of point,line and area elements,analyzes the teaching requirements of geographical distribution map in senior high school geography curriculum standard,and summarizes the common geographical distribution map in senior high school teaching,It provides a theoretical basis for the research of this paper.Through the questionnaire survey of senior high school geography teachers and senior high school students,to understand the current situation of the teaching and application of geographical distribution map in senior high school geography teaching.Through statistical analysis,it is found that there are the following problems in the application of geographical distribution map in high school geography teaching: Students' interest in geographical distribution map is not strong,and their ability to obtain geographical information from the map is not high;Teachers' guidance on map reading needs to be strengthened and teaching methods need to be improved.In view of the above problems,combined with previous studies,this paper puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies: from the aspect of teachers,give full play to the advantages of images,and reasonably configure the map combination;Cultivate the habit of drawing and experience the fun of drawing;From the aspect of students,master the map reading methods of different geographical distribution maps;Improve the ability to explore the causes of geographical distribution.Then,based on the proposed teaching strategy,the teaching case of population distribution is designed and the practical research is carried out.Finally,it summarizes the relevant research conclusions of this paper,analyzes some problems existing in this study,in order to improve in the future research.
