Conflict is an inevitable phenomenon in any social organization.In the context of education reform,the relationship between home and school has gradually become closer.In general,the home and school have different roles and positions,which would be easily arise conflict if problems are not handled properly.Home-school conflict not only affects the home-school relationship,but also affects the normal study and life of students,and may reduce the work enthusiasm of teachers,harm the reputation of school.Therefore,it is very important to manage conflicts between home and school to reduce the destructiveness of conflicts.Through reading related books and literature,the basic concept and previous study of home-school conflict are reviewed.In the theoretical basis,the conflict process model proposed by Robbins is used as to analyze the family-school conflict.The 399 questionnaires are counted and analyzed,which is used to understand the current situation and existing problems of middle school home-school conflict.Further,the causes of family-school conflict are explored by the interviews of several teachers and parents from different regions and schools.Finally,corresponding strategies based on the conflict process theory are proposed.The questionnaire data is analyzed using SPSS software and the results are shown in the three dimensions including general,teaching and administrative affairs.In detail,there are more conflicts between home and school in general affairs.Among them,the sanitation of canteen and the heating of school building are not up to standard.In teaching affairs,the conflicts are from the students' poor grades and teachers' mishandling of students who violate disciplines.In administrative affairs,the conflicts are focus on the unreasonable fees and systems.In addition,junior high schools have more family-school conflicts than high schools,and male or new teachers as well as the teachers with college education degree are more easily to cause conflicts with their parents.Through interviews with teachers and parents,the causes of the family-school conflicts are analyzed and summarized as four aspects including family,school,teacher and society.Combined with the conflict process model,the strategies of conflict monitor and management from the cultural,material and institutional perspectives are proposed,which would contribute to improve the school's conflict management capabilities and establish a harmonious home-school relationship.
