Teaching material is the main basis of teaching and an important tool of learning.The exploration exercises of textbook expansion is a part of the exercises of the third section of mathematics textbook compiled according to the mathematics curriculum standard of compulsory education(2011 Edition).It is a textbook that meets the needs of students' development after the continuous improvement,adaptation and design of textbook compilers and the strict control and audit in the later stage.It has a very high guiding significance for teaching.The allocation of exercises has a direct impact on the quality of teaching,but in the information age of endless teaching materials,some teachers tend to ignore the exercises in the teaching materials and pay no attention to the exercises in the teaching materials.Because junior high school students lack the initiative of learning and dependence on teachers,few students will take the initiative to learn the exercises in the teaching materials,which makes it difficult to reflect the value of the exercises in the teaching materials.On the basis of the existing research on textbook exercises,this paper will analyze the existing problems and put forward suggestions for improvement through the text analysis of the extension and exploration exercises in mathematics textbooks;Through the investigation of the use of extensive exploration exercises in teaching materials,we can understand the attitude and use of teachers and students to the extensive exploration exercises,so as to provide practical and theoretical guidance for the better integration and utilization of extensive exploration exercises in teaching materials.This study uses the methods of literature analysis,content analysis,questionnaire survey and interview to investigate the use of extension and exploration exercises in junior high school mathematics textbooks published by people's education press.First of all,it analyzes the content of exploration exercises in the textbook to understand the specific situation of the number and types of exercises in the textbook;By using the methods of questionnaire and interview,this paper investigates the recognition and use of the extension and exploration exercises in junior middle school mathematics textbooks of F middle school in K city.A total of 700 questionnaires were issued to students and 15 questionnaires to teachers.679 questionnaires were collected,of which 651 were valid,and the effective recovery rate was 93%.15 questionnaires were collected,of which 15 were valid,and the effective recovery rate was 100%.742 and 0.771 respectively.The conclusions are as follows :(1)The number of chapters of the extension and exploration exercises in the textbook is uneven,and the types of questions are not wide enough.The difficulty of the extension and exploration exercises is not very high,and the comprehensiveness is not strong,and some exercises are not strong in operability.(2)The degree of use of exercises of extension and exploration in textbooks is not high.Some teachers will use them directly,and most students will complete them independently.Most teachers will selectively explain such exercises,and cannot develop textbooks to expand and explore the inner value of such exercises.Teachers and students generally believe that the exercises of extension and exploration in the textbook are more important,but they are more inclined to use the exercises in the tutorial materials and the exercises in the study plan.Most of the students completed the exercises according to the requirements of the teachers,and their initiative was not enough.According to the research conclusions,the paper puts forward relevant suggestions,increases the comprehensive exercises,adjusts the difficulty and improves the operability;Teachers should take the initiative to develop and utilize the extensive exploration exercises;Students should communicate more,reflect and summarize,and form a good habit of autonomous learning.Due to the limited research time and energy,there are still some deficiencies in this study,such as the small sample size of the survey and the small area,which makes the survey conclusions not representative enough.These problems are the direction of further research in the future.
