In the textbook reading aid system,textbook annotations in high school Chinese textbooks published by People's Education Press are very important components,which play a very important role in the teaching process,and facilitate students to better carry out independent learning is its main purpose.Some poems such as Encountering Sorrow(excerpts),The Lady of River Xiang and For Those Fallen for Their Country in the senior high school Chinese textbook of PEP are selected from Songs of Chu.The origin of the selected poems,the author's brief introduction,the annotation of names,the explanation of words and other components basically make the annotations of the three poems.In terms of function,these annotations can help students understand the meaning of difficult words,so that they can better understand the meaning of the article.Secondly,through the introduction of cultural background in the annotations,students can feel the charm of Chinese excellent traditional culture and accumulate relevant cultural knowledge.In addition,students' interest in learning can be stimulated by some knowledge points in the notes.But in the process of dealing with these annotations,the compilers of textbooks also have some problems,such as improper annotations,overly repetitive annotations,unmarked annotations that should be annotated,and so on.For these problems,the old notes should be taken seriously by the textbook compilers and absorbed by parents.At the same time,the cohesion between annotations in Songs of Chu should be paid attention to,so as to better play its role in enlightening teaching.In addition,the annotations of relevant cultural background knowledge should be added to enrich the cultural connotation of the textbooks.For students,on the premise of making full use of network resources,they should make rational use of annotations to carry out autonomous learning.For some controversial annotations,students should actively carry out group discussions,and dare to question as well as carefully verify.Students should actively explore and dig deep into the cultural connotations of annotations which are just a little talked about but have exploratory value.For teachers,they should not only use annotations flexibly to introduce new lessons,but also use annotations to carry out group reading,so as to broaden teaching horizons and diverge students' thinking.
