Geography teaching materials play an important role in geography teaching activities,and are indispensable curriculum resources in the teaching process.This paper makes a qualitative and quantitative comparative analysis of the surface system of the new edition of geography teaching materials of PEP and Chinese Library Edition by means of literature research,comparison,and statistical analysis,that is,a comparative study of the "text system","image system" and "operation system" of the two editions of teaching materials to explore their similarities and differences.On this basis,clear their advantages and disadvantages,and put forward suggestions for the use of high school geography new teaching materials.The main contents and conclusions of this paper are as follows.First of all,the text system comparison.Based on the study of the system structure of the text system,teaching guidelines,teaching aids and the breadth and depth of text knowledge,this paper summarizes the following aspects in the system structure: the arrangement of the structure of the two textbooks in the text system is basically consistent with the requirements of the new curriculum standard;the teaching materials of the Chinese plate are mainly characterized by double series structure presentation;the text series and the inquiry series are connected with each other,Mutual assistance.In the aspect of the breadth and depth of text knowledge: the PEP textbook is more inclined to "broad" in basic knowledge,and the Chinese plate textbook pays more attention to "shallow" in basic knowledge.The above two characteristics are in line with the requirements of "broad" and "shallow" in the design of "geography 1" basic knowledge in the new curriculum standard.In terms of teaching guidance and teaching aids: the number and types are rich and diverse,and play a role that can not be ignored.Secondly,the image system is compared.Through the comparative study of the two versions of the textbook in the image type,image quantity and the combination of image and text,this paper sums up the image type and quantity: the image types presented in the two versions of the textbook cover all types of geographical images,and pay attention to the intuitive expression of geographical knowledge.In the way of image and image combination: the two versions of textbooks organize the text and image reasonably,and present the geographical knowledge scientifically and accurately.Thirdly,the operating system is compared.This paper takes the type,quantity and the consistency of the homework content and curriculum standard of the two versions of textbooks as the comparative research object,and summarizes the types of homework: the two versions of textbooks have rich types of homework,but compared with the PEP Textbooks,the Chinese plate textbooks have more diverse types of homework.In terms of the number of assignments: the number of assignments of Chinese plate is more abundant than that of pep.In terms of the consistency of homework content and curriculum standard,the consistency coefficient of "geography1" of PEP is higher than that of "geography 1" of Chinese plate,so the matching degree between homework setting of PEP and new curriculum standard is better.Finally,through the comparative study of the surface system of the two versions of teaching materials,the similarities and differences between them are obtained.On this basis,the teaching suggestions for the use of teaching materials are put forward.In the text system: we should pay attention to the application of teaching guidance;correctly grasp the breadth and depth of text knowledge;diversify the choice of teaching aids;enrich the classroom language.In the aspect of image system,we should pay attention to image quality,enrich image types and quantity,update geographic images in time,and pay attention to the reasonable combination of images and graphics.In the aspect of homework system: reasonably optimize the consistency with the curriculum standard to make the homework content design more in line with the requirements of the curriculum standard;innovate the homework situation,enrich the homework column setting;reasonably grasp the number and distribution of homework.
